    Trains 21 is a documentary of railroading in the 21st century and a look at the fascinating world of transportation. On this channel we deal with all aspects of trains with a strong focus on the Northeast USA.
    The goal is for you to learn a lot in a short amount of time.. A major infusion of knowledge in just a few minutes.. And if those few minutes distilled some of the best railroad information in the industry, we feel that we've done our job..
    The trick is clarity.. Clear, concise and on point.. New videos are uploaded frequently and if you like what you see, comment, like and subscribe (in that order!).

      Congratulations! It took me a little over three years from the time that I started hunting in 2015. My first true catch was the PRR and my last was the N&W. in the summer of 2018

    Wonderful video about the HUs AC! I love learning more of NS’ fallen flag Railroads when I can, for years I didn’t know there was a different NS before the NS we have today until I saw 8114. I also knew little about most of the fallen flag RRs that make up NS for a while.
    So far the only HU I’ve seen in person was NS 1067 (Reading Lines) Back in November 2023, just 2 months after seeing 4005 (DC to AC). I can’t really pick which of the fleet is my top favorite since I have a good liking towards all of them, much like every unit from CSX.

    Where the old Nickel-Plate road line which has run East and West through Fort Wayne, Indiana, those rails were adjacent to the short-lived, Wabash and Erie Canal. Those tracks (Norfolk-Southern) have been elevated for at least 60 years or more, but a portion of the old (long ago drained) canal is still visible. In fact, an elevated alleyway alongside the old canal right of way, which is now only one city block long, is still called DOCK STREET.

    Very informative video narrating the histories of all these precursor railroads, large and small. Great work that you have captured nearly all of them locally on the Sunbury Line. Now here are the questions: Which carrier had the best livery/colour scheme? Which scheme looks best reproduced on these modern ES44/SD70 reincarnations? My picks are the Lehigh Valley for the first question and Pennsylvania Railroad for the second. I also like the N & W blue unit. Special mention to Reading and the Jersey Central as well. Keep up the great work AC.

    • @LeeDfined
      @LeeDfined 2 года назад

      I love the Virginian as that is the one I seen the most in person. I seen the New York Central but since it was black and white, I read NYC but Didnt realize what was right in front of me. That was my first unofficial heritage Unit. Then I seen the Wabash.

  • @NS6711

    I have now seen 8025, 8098, 8100, 8103, 8104 & 8105.
    6 units in a year so far

  • @LeeDfined
    @LeeDfined 2 года назад

    Love this video. The first I seen was the New York Central, which due to it being Black and White, I passed it off as another NS engine even though my eyes seen NYC clear as day. Since then I seen the Southern, Interstate, Illinois Terminal, Wabash and the Virginian...which is my favorite and the one I seen the most. I now live in Florida which is CSX territory....so slim chance of me seeing any additional units. The one that I want to see more than anything is the Erie...as my hometown of Kent Ohio was literally built around and because of the Erie Railroad mainline. Next on my bucket list is obviously Conrail and the Pennsylvania.
