It's tricky. Tape magnets onto either side of the latch, then grab it and hold it when the latch comes out. Once it thinks it has latched the lid, it will do it's cycle. (You can let go of the latch then)
@@connercayowet3366 They do seem to need to be strong. There must be magnets in the lid. I am using about 3/4" round magnets. I got them off the back of refrigerator magnets.
The most entertaining click clack appliance I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, it appears to be the most inefficient & useless appliance I’ve ever seen as well. Front load all the way. 👍
I just don't understand these HE machines they spend too much time sensing weather or not to add a few more drops of water than actually washing the clothes. I had one and returned it. I purchased a Speed Queen and couldn't be happier with it. Does what it has to do with no sensing and mine even has a Quick cycle thats even shorter than this.
petermazbabie yeah, cuz i would rather have a washer that uses more water than its supposed to use than one that would save me some water, money, loads to do, and electricity. Seriously you old people have to learn to change into modern technology washers. Im 18, and i perfectly understand, and love these kind of machines. They automatically sense how much resources it should use, take in way more loads than the old agitator washer would be able to handle, spin a whole lot faster than old washers, which means more water extracted and less time for the dryer, and they are more quiet. I dont honestly see why older people dont like these kind of machines
@@chapstickaddict435 I beg to differ. I own the front loader version of this lg washer in this vid, but it's a Kenmore brand - which lg bought. And it cleans better than all 3 machines we've had in the past - a 98 top Kenmore washer, and a 2015 he whirlpool top load washer. It spins a whole lot faster, is way more gentle on the clothes than the previous machines, takes in more clothes, is quiet, and outperformes in cleaning. The only thing I wish this machine had was the steam setting. But it does have accela-wash/turbo wash which is very good and time efficient
@@ambam90 The spinning part in the begining based on my understanding, is that sort of calibrate and determine the weight of the load and not really disperse the clothing away from the center
So many people say that but that has not been my experience. I cut grass for a living, my work clothes are always a disaster. This washer always makes them perfectly clean.
These do clean, and very well compared to some other H.E. top loaders out there. People love to say these things without understanding how they clean, they just look at it and think it's doing nothing. Take a hard good look at the mechanical action and understand how that works before beginning to comment.
@@khalilt6508 I do agree that it literally floats around, the agitation profile is not up to par to handle that. However, for normal loads it does a good job, so stop complaining. Older direct drives will obviously not have an issue since those are agitator based and rough. If you are going to troll or complain about any little thing wrong with this machine, i suggest you go elsewhere, ain't got time for childish behavior.
Notice how a lot of the clothes on top didn't wash throw the machine away
How did you trick the lid latch so you can operate it with lid open?

will any small magnets do? what magnets did you use? Thank you very much.

ok, will try to look for some strong magnets, Thank you very much.

They seem kind of stupid to me. All the crap it doe to save a little water.

you're supposed to put the clothes on the edge of tub, not just dump it in there
The spin cycle does it for them, as you see in the beginning

Yosef Hayashi Try washing a comforter in this and see what you say then super tech. My kenmore direct drive will blow this thing off the map
