Listen, I've been idolizing Mikael for quite some time now. That was the most un-Mikael interview ever, and I f*ckin loved it. Easily my favorite Mikael interview ever. I think I somehow like it even more now that I learned who Nardwuar is and his street cred with rappers.

Let me finally counter his claim: it couldn't possibly be that Nardwuar truly enjoys lots of music, especially underground, BUT it's his damn job as an interviewer to pull up backgrounds of each artist... where they came from/grew up listening to etc etc? He was always the best, man. Really researched/learned his shit. It's really evident in the Bones interview recently. Nardwuar has always been great at his job. Love Mikael & Nardwuar

Wrong county, bands Mikael doesn't listen to, random things swedes might drink but Mikael doesn't know or seem to care about. I usually like Nardwuar, but this one was a failure. Luckily Mikael was agreeable enough to make it at least pleasant. Look at the early Rollins one to see another time Nardwuar's preparation failed and it blew up in his face.
mikael is one of the most sophisticated people in the music industry, baffles my mind how naturally elegant and smart he is, but doesn't try to act smart, very humble person
I can respect that, I enjoy Bloodbath too. However, I feel Opeth is where some of his best written songs are. Plus it showed off that he also has a great melodic voice too...in a way that was totally unique to me.
