That thing is so fast you're going to run out of wood lol. That red oak looked great. My favorite wood to burn. Before my tractor i only cut firewood logs I could lift. I built a log lift for my hydraulic machine but never installed it. It would be a game changer. We are not getting younger lol. Great video.
Yeah this Oak turned out better than I first thought! Love to split it, hate to dry it😂 Log lift will probably be considered more in the future now after having this machine……. because yes we are getting older😂 Thanks Jerry👊🏻
That is some serious specialty cutting Todd, and you must be on cloud9 nine to be able to use the 17 VS-C. Sounds like a fun night for Evan while dad gets to keep on working.
Cloud 9 for sure!! Running this 17 VS-C has been an absolute pleasure! I now know what all the hype is on commercial splitters😂 Evan has been very busy visiting with friends before they all go off to college. That’s ok because this splitter slows me to work by myself 😂 Thanks for watching Obie👊🏻
Nice job as always brother. I think if I ever go to a commercial splitter, it will definitely be a vertical of some sort. You got a good system worked out for sure.
Thanks! This vertical has definitely opened my eyes to some great benefits! You won’t be disappointed. My back has never felt better! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Hi Todd. I knew you would quickly realize the increased productivity with a commercial splitter. The vertical splitters are the best for perfect bundle wood!
Yeah even though my box store splitter was pretty fast there’s no comparison! I’m spoiled now for sure! Gonna be hard to go back😂 These verticals make very nice splits! Thanks Dick👊🏻
That is some good looking oak. I have come to the conclusion that if you are splitting for bundles or kindling, the vertical splitter is the way to go. It is so precise
Yeah those Allwood’s are beasts! The vertical has been a pleasure to run for sure. Custom splitting is definitely its strong point as well as no back pain🤣 Thanks for watching Russ👊🏻
🤣You bet it is! I liked the idea of a small footprint machine that would be easy to move by hand and store! Having this VS sure has brought to my attention just how well it does the kinda firewood we need! Still love the 22RS and the Ultra. Thanks for watching Jdubb👊🏻
Thanks. This machine sure makes it easy to get some beautiful splits with no fatigue on the back! Evan is having a blast with all his friends before he goes off to college. Good group of young men he hangs out with! Thanks for watching Jacob👊🏻
Great Video! Some really nice splits you got going on there! Looking good, keep feeding that splitter while you have it! Unless it’s going to stay in your yard! 😉 Stay Safe, Continue Stacking, Keep Cuttin!🪵🪵🪵🪵
Thanks. I do like good looking splits that are easy to stack! This machine is top notch for that. Well it will go back eventually but I’m gonna keep on splitting while I can😂 Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Yes it is Genin! I’m really getting spoiled on vertical! That ultra is the next best thing in horizontal machines for these kinda splits! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
What you guys are doing now matches our operation almost exactly. We envisioned separating bundle, restaurant directly into totes, and bulk firewood off the conveyor into totes during the splitting operation right off of the @EastonmadeWoodSplitters Axis. Since then We've added a wheelbarrow for kindling bundles as well. Some of that was inspired by @KNLFirewood, thanks Mike! The @WolfeRidgeSplitters 17VS-C looks great, I see some pros and cons between it and the Axis but for sure both are great units. We are pulling some beautiful looking splits off these vertical splitters. I don't think anyone can go wrong with either unit.
You are absolutely right on these verticals. You can’t go wrong with either!!! Both great machines!! Yeah it took some time to evolve into this system we have now. Kinda learn and grow as you go program!😂 This vertical has definitely won my heart for what we are doing. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
I could probably watch someone run it all day myself too😂 I hear ya and your back will let you run it all day too. I’m a firm believer now. Appreciate you watching Steve.👊🏻
Well I can’t complain I guess! But yes it will. I actually got the over out last weekend and went mobile. Split a face cord at the farm for the father-in-law. It was definitely different but got the job done. Thanks for watching Mike👊🏻
Yes this Oak was definitely in need of finding. I thought it might be to punky but it has been some pretty nice stuff. Yeah I’m recalling seeing the strong points of a vertical for our operation! Thanks for watching Tim👊🏻
I totally agree with the commercial split spltters. Since i am by myself, i can cut and split and stack it in the truck in about 2 hours. Before, it was at least 4 to 5 hours
I had a feeling you would be on the hunt for more wood with that 17vs . It really is a game changer going from home owner splitters to commercial splitters . The vertical machines really shine when your separating your grades of wood it allows you to get more of the desirable pieces . Nice shirt Todd and another great video
Yeah the quest for wood has increased tremendously😂 That’s why I wear that shirt I’m hoping your luck will soak in😂 Yeah I’m really gonna be torn on a future splitter purchase after running this VS!? I was thinking more along the lines of a horizontal with a small footprint for ease of movement and storage? Ya just can’t beat a horizontal when it comes to custom splits! Thanks for watching Phil👊🏻
Yes sir Greg! I have learned that the Birds Eye view you have on the rounds with vertical really make custom splits easy! I have really enjoyed running this VS! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Thanks Todd! This splitter just keeps on growing on me! I really like the ease on my back and the custom size splits you can turn out with it! Appreciate ya👊🏻
Well it’s really getting me spoiled😂 I’m still on the fence between having the Vertical for all our custom splits or a horizontal with a smaller footprint for ease of movement and storage? Thanks for watching Todd👊🏻
Well, the first agreement was a couple weeks! Norm sold two units after my first video release thanks to viewers of my channel. He told me to hang onto it for a while.🤷♂️ Made me feel good to connect some of the viewers to him because that’s how I could give back. I guess when somebody buys it, it’ll be time for it to go back.😂 I appreciate you watching Mark👊🏻
Nice operation and vid. Great to hear there hitting the stand hard for you guys .👍 keep up the awesome work TOA. Later , have a safe week ahead brother
Yeah I have been shocked how well the stand has been doing. We just need it to stay cool for a while to keep people outside😂 Thanks for stopping by and have a great week as well Richy👊🏻
Hey Todd and Evan. Very impressive operation you guys have. Separating the splits as you go with the vertical splitter. It all works so well, and the bonus conveyer. You guys killed it.
Yeah it’s definitely something we have refined after doing it the hard way for two years! Separate it when it’s split takes longer to split but makes it way faster when selling! Appreciate ya watching Kenny👊🏻
Yeah I think so too! It’s really nice for custom splits. Ya just can’t beat the birds eye view of the rounds. Each splitter has their strong points and custom splits is definitely where the VS shines! Thanks Rod👊🏻🍻
I really think this splitter is growing on me. Every time we use it I see just how precise you can get splits! Bundle grade, barkless, and kindling is just a breeze now! The pecan is awesome firewood. Very heavy like oak. A little stringy at times but it burns great when dry! 28 BTU. Thanks Ken👊🏻
Thanks! What I’m looking for for bundle grade is just straight uniform pieces that are easy to bundle. They slide into our bundler and bag easier. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Todd great beautiful T- Shirt your wearing home 🏠 off OLD BUSTER the FASTEST homemade SPLITTER on U TUBE 😮. Great to hear Evan firewood 🪵 bundles SALE are Up 🆙. more iiiii iiiii can say for lobster 🦞 price GOING Go Go down by day in PRICE . It the BEST catching in my life time Newfoundland buyer shut down on wk- end for buying everything is MAX out for holding lobsters 🦞 for world 🌎 market . Love the shirt and Buster! Sales are up for our firewood for sure. Bummer about your lobster market. Hope it turns around for you. Thanks for watching Leonard.👊🏻
Yeah I hear ya. It takes longer than just making heating or bulk grade splits! It’s really satisfying for me to see bundle grade splits stacked😂 I appreciate ya watching Amanda👊🏻
The 17VSC IS A NICE MACHINE IF YOUR WORKING ON YOUR OWN , THE 17VSC IS THE BEST VERTICAL MACHINE ON THE MARKET, IT PRODUCES BETTER WOOD THEN HORIZONTAL MACHINES WITH 4 6 8 WAY AND BOX WEDGES, HAVE A GOOD DAY IN ILLINOIS,
Well I can’t say I disagree. All splitters have their place that’s why there are so many different companies and varieties. The vertical machines definitely make the kind of firewood I’m looking for! If I was just producing for heating wood the horizontal are hard to beat. They produce splits very fast with the different wedge varieties. I appreciate ya watching and commenting👊🏻
Hello Tim! The restaurant doesn’t use as much as like a pizza oven place because his smoker is propane and it uses an indirect heat box. He usually goes thru about 1/2 face cord a month. Thanks for watching Tim👊🏻
Very nice splitter!! Waiting on you to say you own it!! May be my next purchase!! Ive got to deliver a 1/3 of a cord of pecan this morning. People love to smoke with it! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
@@davidedwards3734 Well I’m not sure I’m ready yet but I’m definitely getting spoiled🤣 I was thinking more along the lines of a horizontal that has a smaller footprint and easy to store but this Horizontal has really got me thinking! I wish we had a market for pecan. Not too many people showing interest in smoker wood in our area? The pellet smokers I think hurt that market. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Hey Todd , good video . That was some great looking restaurant wood and nice bubble wood also
.
👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Del. I appreciate ya👊🏻🇺🇸

Yes it is James. I have came to the same conclusion now! So easy in the back as well! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
It’s amazing how much more wood you can split with the newer machines
You’re not kidding! Just came in from splitting. I said the same thing to my wife! Love this VS‼️Thanks for watching Tom👊🏻
That vertical splitter is the way to control your splits for sure. My Allwood will chew 6 plus full cords per day between deliveries.
Yeah those Allwood’s are beasts! The vertical has been a pleasure to run for sure. Custom splitting is definitely its strong point as well as no back pain🤣 Thanks for watching Russ👊🏻
I thought you were dialed into a 22RS or an Ultra….but now your brain has gotta be swirling with indecision. 😂

Yep! You are going to have a hard time using your old splitter at some point. Nice looking splitter. Maybe I can give it a run at some point.
Yes I used my boxer the other day and boy what a difference. Hopefully I will still have it on hand this weekend! Thanks for watching Robert👊🏻
That’s some fine firewood splitting/multitasking!!!
