As an Av fan who works at Ball arena-I agree.We were awful last night,& damn lucky to get 1 point...let alone 2. Blackwood should've been 1st,& 2nd star. However-ya got your 1st goal on a bad bounce/terrible mistake Makar almost never makes also. So while you are correct big picture-& Carrick made a phenomenal move-my point is you definitely got some help from us that usually doesn't happen also. Manson,& Middlestadt- were awful on your 2nd goal also but that kind of thing happens. And that was a fabulous play by the Rangers. But Makar getting the primary assist FOR OUR OPPONENT,on short handed goal almost never happens,& that was arguably the worst mistake he's made all season-though bad luck is involved & Carrick made a fabulous move to take advantage of it.
Ya also got PP in OT-ya have to finish it there. And Blackwood hasn't just played good...he hasn't given up more than 2 goals in a game since he came here. In fact,a few games ago he had the best numbers in the NHL since coming here.And since he gave up 1 in Minny,2 in WPG(in a loss),& 2 last night-since I saw that stat...he couldn't have fallen far. Granted it's still a pretty small sample size but he's been much better than "played pretty well" so far. He's been flat out brilliant since he got here.

I agree couple soft goals for Igor, but with all those chances and a dominating game we had only 2 goals. I’d say the blame goes to the offense of the top 3 lines. Not to mention the lineup for the PP that was handed to us in OT. Kreider was out there but none of the actual goal scorers. Bench blame there…
Was at the game…disappointing for sure from the stands. Guy next to me was a rangers fan and said to me “Watch, we’ll find a way to blow this one”…unfortunately he was right
You're right, they outplayed Colorado and would have won if Igor had been playing up to his new salary.

Jon, Blackwood hasn’t really consistently been a backup; he’s been the #1 at times, but for a while was struggling with staying healthy and general consistency. He basically played himself off the Devils due to these issues.
He got the majority of playing time with an awful Sharks team and given the commitment just made to him by the Avs, looks like they believe in him enough to have him be their #1 going forward. I’m curious to see if he’s truly figured it AND able to hold up physically, or if he’s just another goalie who’s up and down in the seasons to come.
That first goal all three forwards were not in position, both defenseman behind the net, Igor no chance in hell.
He should have stopped the next two.
Oh well...heartbreaker! Actually, ballbreaker! I blame Lindgren for the tying goal! You have to stop Lehtonen on that play! The next SC won't come until we get better defensemen!
Statistically Blackwood is the 4 the best goalie in NHL this year analytically ,Colorado knows this and traded for him and signed him long time immediately .
Great all around game. Mika played well but getting tired of how soft he is against fen boards. The OT goal was his fault
How about lindgrens failed clearing attempt that got held in! The. He didn’t even tie up the goal scores stick let alone get between him and the net! Lindgren needs to go before he gets hurt and can’t get shit back for him!
When all your offense is coming from fourth liners, it’s kind of ridiculous to blame the goalie. And almost all the top nine forwards were a minus last night. The Rangers are on pace for 82 points this season…… that will get them a lottery pick in the draft. They need to play .750 for the rest of the season to maybe get a wildcard spot. And please stop quoting “ insiders” , these guys are less accurate than a weatherman and basically make stuff up on a daily basis. Anyone can go to Puckpedia and see who is a pending ufa or rfa and who has nmc contracts and make up trade rumors or scenarios.
He's a system goalie, you have to stack the D in front of him and make him make saves in a controlled environment. I'm on board w him being the goalie if they're going to win a Cup. Until thry accomplish that I find he's a bit on the overrated side

Igor was winning games he shouldn't have won last season, this season he is losing many games he should have won (with the pay and skill he shown in the past)
the result is NYR is a" toilet bowl team" outside the playoffs compared to Presidents trophy last season.
Igor is paid to be the difference, but he is not this season!
if that do not change, this team will go nowhere but down down down, cause they are not as good as they think !

Explain to me why Miller continues to be in the lineup and Jones and Mancini aren’t?
Simple neither can handle opponents top lines.
Trade Igor now. he is average at best. Out goalied by Blackwood says it all.
93 and 79 are dreadful. D-R-E-A-D-F-U-L!
And 55 had a miserable game . . . not tying up Lehkonen's stick on the GWG.
Basic fundamentals aren't so basic for NYR these days.
