  • This is a documentary about the weird disappearance of Kenny Veach and M cave. Kenny was a 47 year old Nevada resident who had been an avid hiker for over 20 years. After talking about a cave he found (M cave) he was urged to re-locate it. He packed his bag for an overnight trip, and left for the Mojave Desert on the 10th of November 2014. Kenny was never seen again. After he failed to return home, his girlfriend and family reported him missing to the Las vegas police and the search began. Veach's whereabouts were traced back to a location shown in his M cave hike video. They then discovered his phone on November 22 near an old mine shaft he had previously visited. The police sent a camera down the mine shaft in hopes they would find him, but they were unsuccessful.

I agree with you. If Kenny did find the M cave again, how would he prove it without his phone or camera? It makes no sense for him to undertake this trip without those items. He had a RUclips channel specifically to share his videos, and he hyped this trip so that more people would be tuned in for the results. Also, the sound and your enunciation have both been super crisp and clear on the last 2 videos. Great work!

    (1) He did not take his video camera, therefore he was not looking for the M cave.
    (2) His phone was found down a mine shaft without him, as though he threw it down there to prevent anyone from tracking him.
Conclusion: He committed suicide and doesn't want to be found OR he faked his disappearance and doesn't want to be found.

his phone was found near the mine shaft, not actually in the mine shaft. that leads me to believe he may have left the phone there on purpose, as he had filmed that mine shaft and posted that video to youtube so he knew that is one of the places authorities might search for him. he might have meant for the phone to be a sign to his girlfriend that he intentionally left it and went off to do what she worried he might do

I think what effected Kenny was infrasound. Possibly used to keep strays from the path away from US Government classified areas. The way he described how it felt is exactly what it feels like to be “attacked” by infrasound. It makes your body vibrate and almost feel like you’re burning, you get sick and terrified and have to leave. It can be so bad that it can actually hurt you although I’ve never heard of that happening (it probably has). Kenny went somewhere he shouldn’t have and I don’t know what happened to him but it isn’t good.

Unfortunately I don’t think that there is anything deeper to this story- just a person suffering from mental illness who couldn’t battle it anymore. I have personal experience with bipolar/depression and I can relate to Kenny. Personally, I think he committed suicide but staged it as an accidental death (possibly for life insurance purposes as some policies don’t cover suicide). His behavior and some of the things he did reminded me of my own plans to make my death seem accidental and not a suicide.
It doesn’t add up that a very experienced hiker like Kenny didn’t bother to remember the general area of the “M cave”. He was obviously familiar with the dangers of abandoned mine shafts and knew that body recoveries can be too dangerous to carry out. His belongings seemed intentionally placed to corroborate his “plan to find the M cave”.
Why wouldn’t he bring a camera if his true intention was to find the M cave and share it online? The first time I heard this story I was intrigued but as I discovered more details, I realized there’s no big conspiracy.

It’s a low frequency of electronic waves that we can’t hear because they are too low but our body does react to them. I lived in Las Vegas for 16 years (1989-2005) and my first husband and I went out one desert winter day to see how close we could get to Area 51... as we drove down this paved road that turned into a dirt road, we passed the first sign that said no trespassing, turn around, etc. We made it as far as a guard booth that looked empty and we were going to drive on through...But all of a sudden there were men all around us! Where’d they come from?! We didn’t see anybody up to that point!
They approached the vehicle and very sternly and seriously said “Didn’t you see the signs back there? You’re trespassing.”
We played dumb and said no. That’s when I noticed how armed they were! They didn’t pull any guns on us, but they were definitely visible!
I remember seeing 5 of them. But there could have been more.
Of course they didn’t believe us and told us to turn around right away and said that if we continued, we could (would?) be arrested. So we apologized, I smiled and waved at the guys with the guns and we turned around and left.
We did not see anything or anybody until that moment. I have a feeling that they saw us way before we saw them!
Some years later I became friends with a man who used to work security there and that was his job! His shift was the night shift and he would be out there in the desert on the lookout for people just like us! And he wasn’t the only one who was out there. So don’t think for a minute that you can sneak in there even if you try a not so direct route.
I was in my 20s. My husband was in his 30s. It was just thrilling enough, but I wouldn’t ever try that again!

I've made the pilgrimage, back before the Gov't would admit it was there, and when the "NSA" was supposedly "No Such Agency"...
They have armed and armored patrols routinely watching every public road around Area 51. You were already spotted before you even turned off to the road that got you to the dirt road... AND that was ONE "fire team". There were at least three more, equally or more armed, just out of easy view, watching you. AND not only CAN you be arrested, they're cleared for deadly force at their own discretion. They don't generally want to run about with any excuse to kill anyone... BUT they're certainly within their command and protocols to do so at any time and for any reason. Technically just that trespassing was enough.
Back with the "Storm Area 51" thing that trended on the internet, I was sincerely concerned (not that I could do anything about it one way or another) because that could've had far reaching fall-out... not just for Vegas or Area 51, but for YT and social media in general... especially when parents realize a stupid social media call ended their kids in the desert , and got a "possible terrorism" investigation launched on their whole family... They don't screw around or play with Area 51...
You CAN (at least) arrange appointments for limited tours. It's interesting, and you always feel just a little bit like they're obfuscating (clouding the issues) about something... It's just impossible to say what. ;o)

The most intriguing thing is that, if he intended to find the M shaped cave, how come he left his camera at home, losing the opportunity to film his findings? When did his girlfriend notice he had left it? Another point is that, supposedly, the mobile phone that appeared at the entrance of that mine shaft had GPS. Had he turned off its settings? How could he think that he could have been located in that case? Very probably, his remains could have been found in an area of four to five km around that mine, unless his corpse had been eaten by coyotes or other prey animals. However, where are his belongings? If he carried a back pack with essentials, they must be somewhere, even if he had committed suicide. I believe he was murdered and someone set fire to his body and belongings. It could have been anyone. Maybe somebody followed him and put an end to his life. It could be interesting to perform a satellite search for the M shaped cave. Another possibility is that he had found it and had gone into it, but having run out of food and water, he perished inside it. Find that cave and you might find him, even after all these years.

What if he was a government person tasked with keeping people away from Area 51? Maybe this M cave has a secret government experiment or weapon hidden inside of it and as such they wanted to keep people as far away from it as possible, so they have this thing set up to keep trespassers away. You all are taking the word of his "girlfriend" Sheryon that Kenny even made this hike! Sheryon claims to be a mental health counselor, she claims he was suicidal and went hiking 11/10/2014 on a 2 day hike. She claims she was worried on the 3rd day and reported him missing! I have a copy of the original missing person's report which shows she did not report Kenny missing until 11/17/2014 at 4:52 pm. She also told the detective handling the case that she was Kenny's "ex girlfriend". Because it get's dark here in Vegas in November SAR could not organize a search party until the following morning...8 DAYS IN! Sheryon claims Kenny was suicidal, and we all know he bragged how very little food and water he took on these hikes...yet she waits 8 days to report him missing. There is no proof that Kenny ever stepped foot in the desert on 11/10/14 other than his conveniently placed cellphone by an abandoned mine. I spoke to the commander of SAR here Craig McVeay and he stated the tracks stop at the mine? Kenny made one big mistake, he under estimated how deep that mine really was. A camera was dropped into the mine and later spelunkers climbed down into the mine and were able to reach the bottom! Kenny's cell phone was not found until.11/22/14 even though the mine was a 3 or 4 hour hike from where his truck was parked. Kenny took pictures and videos of everything..rocks, flowers, lizards, yet there is not one single picture of this mysterious M cave that struck fear in Kenny! Not one single member of his family even searched for him even though there were 5 brothers and 1 sister. Kenny's daughter in nearly 7 years never picked up the phone and called the detective handling the case or SAR! On July 15th 2018 The Enchanted Forest Reiki center was broken into and the suspect caught on cctv. I found the video of this in June of 2021 and my heart nearly fell out of my chest when I realized it was Kenny...4 years after he went missing. I called his daughter, ex wife and sister the next day and through shock and tears they all instantly agreed it was Kenny on the cctv footage. The Reiki center was owned by Kenny's brother Raymond, yet his wife claimed they watched the video 10 times and couldn't recognize him. They were hyping the dust particles that were kicked up by the blinds as "spiritual orbs cleaning the bad juju from the shop". Since finding this cctv footage 7 members of Kenny's family positively id'd him and I have text messages from his daughter who said she did not want to go to the police because her Dad would go to prison. The family now refuses to talk about it but Sheryon and Raymond are complicit in staging Kenny's disappearance. WE HAVE ALL BEEN PLAYED FOR FOOLS.

While he probably was dealing with depression, suicide is a bit of a leap. Depression doesn't lead to suicide nearly as often as popular belief dictates, and I kind of wish people would stop treating them as though they're joined at the hip. It seems far more likely to me that he fell into danger. Rattlesnakes and other hazardous wildlife are found all throughout the Mojave, and carrying a small pistol with you never guarantees your safety from these beasties. Furthermore, spelunking is a dangerous activity in and of itself, especially if you're exploring abandoned mines. It really doesn't matter how seasoned of an explorer you are (or _think_ you are), no amount of expertise will ever completely immunize you from making even a seemingly minor mistake that can cost you your life.

I saw someone’s theory that the M cave was a metaphorical version of Kenny’s depression and suicide. He told his fans that he “discovered” the M cave (his suicide) and he said he didn’t want to go to it, so he came back to his so called “fans” basically as if he is trying to give them a sign of his intentions. His once again so called “fans” pressured him to go back to the “cave”. Basically that could be the reason that Kenny couldn’t find the M cave. He was referring to his depression and suicide and his “fans” kept telling him and some even threatening him to go back to the cave, which ultimately means that they were telling him to go that route and commit suicide. That would also explain why he never took a camera or any of his recording equipment for the videos, because the M cave that he “found” was not real. He just wanted to signal to his “fans” for help.

The fact that he didn’t take his camera when looking for the cave, and left his phone, suggests that he never intended looking for the cave. And there is the fact that he didn’t take any pictures of the cave the first time he was there, suggest that the cave ever existed in the first place. He made everything about the cave up, it was just part of his plan to commit suicide. I believe the post warning him not to go was him using a different account. And why would he take a gun, I mean if what he said he felt was supernatural (if you believe in that stuff) what good would a pistol be. Same goes for the little green men people say got him, pretty useless. And if it was the military or the government, what was he thinking he would do against armed guards or soldiers? Have watched some of his videos, he seemed a bit off and I don’t think he did half the things he claimed he did. I think he was already a bit mentally unbalanced and being depressed and dealing with the comments that called him out might have been all it took. Most likely he committed suicide and will never be found.

The simplest solution is usually the correct one and the simplest solution is that Kenny made the entire thing about M cave up. He just wrote a creepypasta and started making a RUclips channel, like many people do. He also was known to suffer from depression. By far the most likely senario is he made everything up and one day ended his life from his unrelated depression. As someone who was once in a similar place, I came very close to doing similar as in invent a story and ensure that I was never found. People would much rather believe nonsense and conspiracy theories than confront the fact that some people deal with horrific demons of mental illness and self-harm. The truth is usually far less exciting than the fantasy. No one wants to be remembered as the guy who ended it, why not invent a story, create an excuse to take a gun with him, throw away your phone so you can't be tracked, then make sure you're never found.

I believe his girlfriend probably knew Kenny's inside thoughts and struggles more than anyone else. If she believes he committed suicide then I do too.
What I don't understand is if this M cave story is real how did he not remember where exactly it was located? I realize how vast the desert area is. But if I experienced a cave that caused vibrations in my body and scared the crap out of me, you can bet I would notice any landmarks , keep looking around as I left to keep everything in my mind. Also keep track of the distance traveled in time/ pace if I had a watch.
Once I got home I would tell all my friends, family, and reach out to local cave explorers and go back ASAP.
He mentioned on his channel he was going out there for 3 days but it says he only packed for an overnight trip.
Did anyone physically go down the mine his phone was located by or just dropped a camera? Depending on how big that mine is he could have been down there somewhere.
Does anyone know if he took his gun with him?
It's very sad he didn't get help for his depression.
And his idea of a cowboy interior design business sounded cool and he was in the perfect part of the country to become successful. But starting a business takes time to build a word of mouth clientele and lots of money.
I hope he found his peace. Maybe he's on a mountain peak and died under the starlit sky.

The most likely explanation is that the cave simply doesn't exist, he made up a story about a "dangerous cave" so that he would have an excuse to bring a gun on one of his hikes when he normally didn't. He wanted to put himself to rest in the place he loved the most, quickly and painlessly, so he made up a reason to bring a gun. If he simply took a gun with him on a hike his gf would figure out what he was planning immediately since they had talked about it before.

I’m a huge true crime/creepy documentary/ strange things caught on camera type of person and whenever I hear about this case I ALWAYS ALWAYS think about this video I watched once….I can’t remember when I saw it or where I saw it but it was a type of video where creepy things were caught on camera. There was a clip in the video of this woman hiking in the desert alone and there is a person videotaping her . The woman was oblivious to being taped and it was just so creepy because by the looks of it, she was deep in the middle of the desert, far from anyone and anything and this person videotaping her was stalking her and but they were a great distance away because the person had to zoom in a lot in order to bring the woman into focus. The video went on for a good few minutes with this creep just watching her hike and she was completely unaware of him. I thought my goodness , he could do anything he wants to her and no one would ever know.
Now this could very well have been a hoax or set up to be a creepy video because it was obviously the person doing the stalking that uploaded it (I’m guessing) but it goes to show that as far as the human eye can see, you may think you are alone but are you?
