    It has taken me a while to realize this, but Kristine is an excellent foil for you. She is a fine addition to your cast of supporting canoe trip characters (Andy, Ashley, and Tim), which is a part of what makes Happy Camper videos fun. I particularly like how she gives as good as she gets when you get out of line.

    What a lovely trip! We stayed on that site this past August, it's a nice spot. For a day trip we paddled down the creek into Gunn, then back into Raven. Loved looking at all the unique and creative cottages. Thanks so much for sharing this adventure, it's wonderful to see this site in the fall with all the colours😊

    Woody Woodruff cast aluminum dutch oven, Hobart, Indiana! My dad was a scout leader and was a master at cooking on a cast iron Dutch Oven for his troop and then we discovered Woody's cast aluminum model. Always take one on my trips for blueberry pie. Baking fish in a dutch oven is also a great way to cook fish.

    Hi Guys: Nice trip Kevin. You are fortunate to have a congenial partner such as Kristine. Raven Lake is a little more open than I like but on a lonely Fall day it has a charm. Great to see Oliver the wilderness dog. Having him in the tent must make you feel more secure. Stay Safe ! Thanks Brian 80

    Kevin, all that whisk(e)y spilling could be considered alcohol abuse. But yeah...any excuse for a long weekend 😉
    Christine, I hope you get to see the Northern Lights sometime soon! I saw them one time at 30,000 ft in a plane flying back from Regina to Toronto. It was the most spectacular thing I have ever seen. Actually made me cry! And I've seen them from the ground when I was up in Moosonee once. Just mind boggling.

    Great video Kevin. I think we might have had some overlapping bush time during this one in different bushparts. Glad you managed to experience the peak of fall colours. That wind seems to be doing its damage in taking down the foilage. During my trip I read "Small Game Hunting at the local Coward Gun Club" by Meagan Gail Coles. LOL, I thought it is was going to be about small game hunting and outdoors....boy was I wrong on the topic and now I must seek some therapy (no thanks to CBC Reads there). Take care! Ken

    I really enjoyed watching this video. I enjoy canoe camping and I've been thinking of "enhancing" (to use the modern lingo) the camping gear I have to be able to extend my camping season. While I like backcountry trips, the reality is I also like luxury and taking all the best gear I can muster up is part of the experience. Let me know if you find that Coleman wine cooler!

    • @TheHappyCamper
      @TheHappyCamper  4 года назад +3

      You'd have to book a shuttle with an outfitter (or a friend). I know some paddlers have also stashed a bike at the end and rode it back to their car.
