Bonus trivia: The actor playing Action Man the title character is Mark Griffin who is particularly famous for his role in Gladiators from 1993 to 1996 he is the gladiator Trojan

@@jollyaustin my only question is why? Seems like a lot of extra work for an what was essentially another DIC Entertainment action adventure cartoon. The price of sets, stunts and special effects alone along with the actual animation probably did the show in after the first season.
I mean Batman TAS and Ultra Force didn't open with a bodybuilders in a brightly colored spanex parkouring across rooftops.

OMG... what a tbt. I had this on VHS tape back in late 90s and that was the last time I even watched it when I was 5 maybe. Now at 26 feeling watching this is amazing,you don’t know the scenes but as soon as it happens I’m like “oh yea I remember that” 🤟🏻
This show was great to watch and still is. Dr. X's voice is so great haha
snap, I'm 25 and I remember my late mum putting this on for my brother, well the reruns, and he loved it. I used to love playing with his Action Man toys instead of my Barbies as well

I not long watched the complete series of the 1995 Action Man cartoon on DVD (Got it imported from the U.S.) as I’ve recent rediscovered the Action Man franchise which has been forgotten, I remember when the toys being popular in the 90s and 2000s.
I enjoyed every single minute of the ‘95 Action Man cartoon and the live action segments with Mark Griffin (Trojan from Gladiators) playing Action Man as well as voicing him in the full animated episodes were awesome to watch too. They were like the closet thing to a film adaptation of Action Man.
I hope someday we’ll get a theatrical live action film adaptation of Action Man be made. But providing it done by the right people who care deeply about the source material and have it be a British Production, Not Hollywood.
One can wish someone in Hollywood or film production held this amount of feel for the series I loved it😎

Live Action turning into 2D kinda reminds me of that one show back in the 1980's based on a video game about plumbers fighting turtles that does the Live Action and Cartoon segments, I love that vibe.

7:13 -18 Oh I've been looking for this for years, I had a VHS with just one or two episodes on it, and this live-action bit used to make my brother and I crack up in tears, just the way he flies through the air to land neatly on top of that box. And it's still funny now.

Underrated action man is, he isn’t mentioned enough I used to have the action man electric plazzy bike felt like the coolest kid on the block.

When i was like 9 my cousin gave me the dvds for this and it was just the hight of my childhood
Were these filmed on thise stunt show stages somewhere? I recognise the Western town and the boating area but I can't place them. Those stunt shows were the highlight of a few theme park trips when I was younger. So many cowboys punched over railings.
As far as I know, the live action bits were filmed at Universal Studios in California as well as Florida. I'm not familiar with either location so I can't tell which is which. The jet skis are hilarious though.

Who owns the action man property and what happened to it after the animated series, the one where he was called Alex man and he's close friend was someone called Brandon cane, after that series ended I've had no idea what happened to it
Hasbro studios does own action man he was gi Joe's greatest alliance alongside the classic gj joe member Sargent savage and Mike powers the atomic man that was them and action man back in the day but I also remember Hasbro studios and fox network in the year 2000 when dr X action man's nemesis returns against the new action man by the name Alex mann the extreme sports action man from the era of the fast and furious there was a comic book story where ian the real action man the gi Joe team the transformers and the fast cars of the 80s cartoon MASK take a mysterious enemy in the Hasbro studios/idw comic book episodes of the REVOLUTION and REVOLUTIONARIES it featured the best 1980s heroes of toys in one great crossover comic book story

Whaha my grandma bought me one of these dvd's. I only knew the 2000x action man series before. Both if these series were to lit. Imagine people avoid these series for their kids bc of the violence, yet I learned soo much values from these kind of series
I'm so glad people are finding this video and telling stories about when they watched it. I didn't know about this series until a few years ago and loved the over-the-top live-action intros and VR outros. And don't forget the PSAs at the end too! I have a compilation vid of that as well.
