I've got two of them and they're fantastic SABRENT is making it super easy to be a data hoarder
That's beautiful. I'd never ever have that much data but it's nice to imagine owning if I did.
I put my gaming library on it. I have about 13TB worth of Steam games, and over 113TB worth of older games such as PlayStation 2.
Thinking about upgrading my Plex server from a Win10 box using a Netgear NetApp NAS (6x8tb) to Plex via UnRaid with a couple WD 20tb HDDs. Do you guys think this would device would work well for a Plex Unraid JBOD build?
It's literally super easy good.
Do I need to format old drives data to connect this docking station? and any drive capacity limits?
Will you answer me sir! 10-Bays, do each bay can read 20TB Capacity of HDs? What is the maximum capacity of HDD for each bay that it can read?
Can you mirror to drives from your computer at the same time?
Do the disks spin down when not being accessed?
It's nice, but does Sabrent have the stones to make the first devices of this type to use exclusively 2.5" SATA SSDs? I want this.
How are the prices for these NAS solutions justified, I don't understand what makes them so expensive?
Hi, I am intrested in 10-bay. What do I need to do to get JBOD on Mac so the drives show up as one drive with all my data accesible instead of 10 different volumes showing up on desktop? Do I need to install software to do this?
any possibility to switch off the fan??
Can you stick 2.5" drives in there?
I have to press the power button for a drive on my unit for about 3 seconds for it to turn off. Is that normal? I assume maybe it is being a soft button, but it surprised me.
I have a question, if I attach this to a network and say have movies on one HDD and say TV shows on a 2nd HDD, what happens to the speeds when say 3 PC's are pulling data from the single USB 3 cable?
It's Not a Network drive
Do you provide additional rubber feets so it can be laid on it's side. If not, why not? Just worried about it falling over.
Have you ever lifted 10 hard drives? It's not falling over.
It's pictured with a thunderbolt cable on amazon but is usb3.2 10GB/s rather than thunderbolt 3's 40GB/s.. please amend.
Hello, can we putt SSD disks in a HHD tray/sled into these units? Thanks
Yeah, Sabrent even sells their own 2.5 > 3.5 conversion tray
This looks like a great way to have an external ZFS array to backup a metric shit-ton of data!
Any UK distribution Sabrent? :(
How can i access it, in Kenya ? thanks
Dang you guys are really coming out swinging here.
Two fans, huh? How loud is it when you have all those drives spinning at once? Thx
It’s not loud, they are larger 120mm fans meaning noise is quieter than using smaller fans pushing the same amount of air, of course it’s audible because they are fans spinning, but it’s not like a PC fan going at full tilt, hope this helps!
@@SabrentUSAOfficial It does. Thanks. FWIW, I have 2 of your toasters and have been very happy with them...partially because they are so quiet. lol. Thanks again.
Awesome! It’s always hard to explain noise in a message but glad I explained it well enough haha! And glad you are loving our stuff! We have so much in the works, honestly can’t wait to share it when it’s time!
I can't even hear the fans on mine.
The can't do a lot about the HDD noise.
Why are there no review showing the darn thing running? I want to hear the fan/s, how loud are they, I want to see how easy it is to get HDD out but somehow, all the reviewers I've seen just points at it and reads the features that I can see on the box :(
These are nice enclosures. I just think they are pricey for whats inside them. I just don't believe it costs even remotely close $599 to make these. Or even the $229 and $279 for the 4 and 5 bays.
600 Dollars for the 10 bay is waaay to high, I'd appreciate if price can be lowered by at least half
Not for a nice, solid, metal unit and using a quality USB chip (ASMedia). I'll gladly pay that price (and did).
can you show a similar box that cost less from a reputable source?
@@reh3884 you could build a whole freaking computer for that price.
@@jaimeduncan6167 syba 8 bay
Horrible cost!! $600 for a box? 🤦♂️
Bro it’s good unlike u
défaut: c'est bruyant, les ventilateurs et surtout les disques durs 3.5 pouces, moi j'ai la version avec 5 emplacements et je l'ai équipée de disques SSD samsung pour plus de rapidité et surtout moins de bruit .
600$ for it , math don t add up , single bay cost 20 , dual bay 40 shud to be 200 or less to be worth it , is just 10 single bay with usb hub and bigger enclosure
Math adds up fine. You pay for what you get. Want a sh*tty plastic enclosure? Buy one.
@@reh3884 yee a mdf box dose not cost that much when you pay 500 for a speaker you expect build quality and good material , am sure if you open it and look at the amp is a shiti one pcb board like thows you find on e bay for 10buck
Don't buy these. They have a bug where they make certain HDDs appear a SSDs to Windows. Sabrent is aware of the issue, but refuse to issue a firmware update.
Hi! I bought this case for five HDDs. What is the problem? Is the operating system corrupting HDDs?
