Great track from the Legend. I only used to know "Don't make me wait" but this is just another fine example how great these guys were. I've been studying NYC's early house years for quite a bit now, but I'm only starting to comprehend how outstanding atmosphere there had been. In '82 I was at the opposite side of the globe to New York city, attending kindergarten, and started my housing in the 90's, however I admire, respect and take a bow in front of the roots and the pioneer Larry Levan.
I was a Garage Head back then, in the early days. Brings back memories of trying dance until the place closed in the morning. The beat was everything The songs back then were looong. Songs today are minutes tops
This will always be a classic from 80s... Larry and michael really out did themself.. this was a hit in all the clubs then... loft, the gayrage, ozone layers, zanzaba, clubs like this are gone along with music of this time....
once again this record takes me back to a time when all we wanted to do every Friday nite is go to the Garage and let it go for 12 hours of non stop house music dancing...
Druckman, you say that you were only one month old when this came out?!? Wow! I am certain you were sent to help us old heads keep it real. I was there at the Garage for all of this Peech boy stuff. God bless you; this is dynamite.
Paradise baby....I get there about 12:30 am with my partner in crime at the time....get my head right.....dance until about 11:00 in the morning with my fellow freaks flying my flag high...head to Washington sq park...make sure I had my sunglasses on....life was good....the 80s in nyc were the shit!
YEEEEEES.... AFTER THE GARAGE, WOUND IT WASHINGTON SQ PK. N CHILL WITH MY CREW...YES THE 80"S WAS IT....''LOVE IT''.....MAKE IT LAST FOREVER...GARAGEHEAD !!!!
Takes me back to recording mixtapes of wnyu,ny college radio . 91.5fm,I think. This song was so dope and opened the door to other classic house sounds. Miss the mix shows on the below 92.3 FM stations outta nyc.
I heard this jam at the garage back in the day and went out to buy it the next day,and it is still the one only best garage house music album ever made to date........Mr.G FSP ATL-NY
Thank you Druckman; i was looking all over for this song. i could not remember it was the Peech Boys. It was a double find because you also posted biofeedback..i had these on tape and had it stolen..times have really changed. can you imagine saying "last call for Myanmar"- aloha Burma.
yo this right here was the sizznet ..from bac when and i seen em preform it .. you right drew it was something too see for a brothe who was 1 when it came out i must say druckman you got soul for sure
To Drunkman not sure which Dr Dre tune u refere to but this was sampled by The 45 king, tuff city records 1990, track entitled 'take your time' (would love to post one day) lot of hip hop heads where influenced by these break albums, nice to hear orig.
@jhowie12000 Yeah, I remember that "tryin' to chill" too. As soon as your heart rate came back down, and the sweat started to dry on your forehead...wup!...hup!..oh, gotta go! It was useless trying to rest before at least 6-7 am, unless you went in the movie theater.
U talkin' 'bout that breakbeat Dre made from the Express Yourself Remix??? Simple drum beat wit' the whistles in it??? I think the 45 King used that one, too!!!
Yo Druckman, Words can't explain it. If you were a chick, I'd kiss you. I've down a worldwide search for this and you had it all along. From Queens NY but living in Atlanta. This song represents the greatest time in our lives. Barney Googles, Nell Gwens, Sonny Chiba, Pete DJ Jones, Baisely Park. Some of the Greatest Clubs ever! How do I purchase the mp3? Thank You!
The guitar player was a close friend. When these guys were on stage it was serious. The version of "Love Kills Pain" on the album is nothing compared to the live.
What a True Gem, We really screamed with this. Larry played it all through night.
Long live Larry Levan and the Paradise Garage 💘
The scene lives as long as scene-makers keep making a scene. Still have memories of the floral arrangements and available ripe fruit.

How can I NOT LOVE THIS MUSIC...........
Why???? BECAUSE LIFE IS SO SO SPECIAL.
Been looking for this song ever since my sister taped over one of my 107.5 mix tapes back in '84. THANKS!!!!!
Jamaicula My sister did the same to me when I came back from college in ‘87. She taped over every single mix tape I made one from ‘82 to 86’😡😭
@@andrecox3831 Sisters always did that... I think that shit was universal..😂
FOR MY FAMILY OF 84 KING ST. N.Y.C KEEP IT ALIVE, KEEP IT GOING !
...And stay safe.
Yess yess those hot Zanzibar and garage nights! Nothing like it’💋
once again this record takes me back to a time when all we wanted to do every Friday nite is go to the Garage and let it go for 12 hours of non stop house music dancing...
Michael DeBenedictus on keys. He played some tunes on the church organ at Larry's funeral.

Classic N.Y.C. Club hit!!! If you never saw these guys perform at the Paradise Garage, I feel for you...

This always was my favorite Peech Boys song.
Don't Make Me Wait is great but this song is greater. This simple groove and even simpler lyrics are a gift to the ear.
I heard this jam at the garage back in the day and went out to buy it the next day,and it is still the one only best garage house music album ever made to date........Mr.G FSP ATL-NY
Nothing like hearing this jam and many others orchestrated by Larry Levan on that Richard Long sound system!
This was the banger back then
Hearing this Music takes me On A Journey!

Nah... I was dead in '83. Well, almost (I was only 1 yr old!). I really wish I was around then, shoot. Glad you like the post, though!
"Any time" this song is good listening, even at "last call for Burma" - i mean Myanmar. Those were the days when we "never had it better"!!!!
Friday Nights Paradise Garage....Bliss

Dave would take us on a "Journey" every saturday nite !!!
Is this Burma? I got the 12-inch when it came out and I still love it, though the record's long gone worn out. Thanks Druckman - later baby! Alohaaaa!

I was born too late. If we do in fact come back after death, please let me come back to a sexy night at Paradise with Larry on the wheels of steel.

@TheRecordplayers That's okay, I did enough drugs for both of us! You're right, this was totally a BP record.
Am I the only one hearing a particular melody on the first seconds ?
