G'day Stan, Good to see your still interested producing good youtube video. I enjoy them bugs they can be a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing your good ideas on QRS 73 de Dennis vk4oc in sunny Queensland Australia.
N1XF - If you mean, "is the bug too delicate?" then the answer is "no." It's built like a brick sh__house. But it's heavy and not something I'd consider carrying around for portable use. My QCX xcvrs have built in straight keys (microswitches) right on the PC boards and that's my portable key option of choice. 73.
stanscoyote thanks, I didn’t word it properly. I’ve seen some of your videos of working from your deck and yard and was wondering if you’d consider using it in those cases. The “built like a brick -- house” helps a lot though.
The thing wrong with this video and many others like it about code keys: they tell you all about the key, but don't really demonstrate it in action. No keying to show they really can send code at all!
Made my day in a big way!!!!!! Thanks for the posting de KN4YB Thomas Devoe
Somehow, you managed all the variables in you design and the result is a superb bug! Thanks so much.
Very nice and informative video, Stan. Thanks for taking the time to do it. - Bob, W2DL

This key model is no longer available Look for it's replacement the KN4YB SL190RA and SL191RA
This key and your project / construction? Congratulations...
Thanks Stan. This looks like a home station setup. Have you tried using it portable? Or is it too delicate? N1XF
It's my home station (Kenwood TS590SG). I have a couple of QCX transceivers for portable work. 73, Stan.

Wow! A six minute demonstration?? It was over five minutes into your demo before you actually demonstrated anything.
Very cool, thanks. KC3BXZ Joe
