Wish I'd taken my licence when I were younger Sandy. Too late now, but still on 27mhz and as well as always on 27.63125, I do like having a chat with the guys on the 305 USB net once in a while. Morse is an art form in itself and always fascinating to watch. You have some good QSO's and looking forward to seeing some more of these videos

Good to see a better power supply. Switch-mode is so noisy.
And the KW 590 is better for CW. Has more copper in it. The 7300 is brilliant on its output audio but it's basically a box of air with a tuned circuit and a computer. It should cost 200 quid. You made the right choices.

I like to see that Palstar AT1500CV tuner on your shelf. I have the same unit here on my 160 meter station. It tunes whatever wire I have managed to string through the trees without a problem. I think that Palstar has replaced it with a similar unit, the AT2K these days.

Hi Sandy nice video as usual. Like you I only use cw but don't operate much these days. Yes all the different methods of sending cw are really interesting but I guess most folk will have their preferred method. I personally use a Bencher paddle ( which I think you also use ) along with an iambic keyer with dot dash memory. The strange thing for me is that my dot/dash key's are the opposite way round to most folk ( dash on the left paddle ) but this comes absolutely natural to me as this comes from playing the guitar hi. Did try to email you thru the QRZ website a little while ago but maybe you didn't receive it lol. Anyway as I say enjoyed the video and keep up the paramotoring. Regards Richard G4YZK VA ..

Hi Richard, I don't check my qrz email as often as I should. Very busy with the business emails. I will check the yahoo email soon.
I can send other way round, it's just a matter of training. There was even a wicked guitarist who played the guitar upside down.

Great radios, and with the rx split (3db split), you can always run a pan adaptor via an sdrplay (or similar) to get a waterfall if you so desired. Love the keys :) I must pull my finger out and get on with a cw trainer. atb Richie.

Today I learnt how the vibroplex works, interesting. How's that new power supply? Specifically, how loud is the fan and at what current draw when you're transmitting? I can't hear it on the video but I really need something quieter.
The 7300 will be great, I'm tempted to get one but the portability of the 7100 is alluring, I take a radio when we go on UK holidays so a shack-in-a-box would be useful.
