starfield is the prime exemple of don't preoder
Cause at launch todd "the game is perfectly optimized you just need better pc"
Few weeks later bethesda * release patch that fix a lot of optimization

@@TheeFURNAS_ Yeap and only hurts when you want a good product so it is natural wanting to "invest" (preoder) so the devs can get fundng and showed that you care about their project. But it ends up backstabing you when the thing ain't good.
I officially no longer preoder game after payday 3 but also all the other game I did pre odere that should have told me to stop.
Payday 3, no man's sky, cyberpunk, the fps XIII comic book style and fallout 76 are the only games I ever pre-odered... I may be cursed but I had to learn the hard way
Yes some games did got better but still it wasn't worth paying what I did for broken mess

    1. It's Bethesda
    2. The base game is already poorly recieved
    3. It's a story game. People play it, maybe enjoy it, and don't play it again. There is literally no incentive for them to fix the game. They made their money.
    4. It's Bethesda

Mostly agree. I think games like Skyrim wouldn't have sold 60M+ copies if not repayable. That's kind of the whole point of these kinds of RPG games. There should be choices and multiple ways to play and players should have fun and want to go back through multiple times with different characters.

Omg! I'm an idiot too! I just looked on Steam and I must have bought the super deluxe premium edition too. Grr. You know why....they did that play it 5 days 'early' bs, and it looked amazing! What could go wrong? Stupid, stupid. Don't reorder! Wait for reviews from people you trust. You can't trust these studios to deliver a fun game anymore.

Digital games by their nature cannot ever sell out. There’s no incentive to preorder that’s actually worth losing $70, or whatever on a turd. This has been the case for a long time, it’s been so long I can’t remember when I adopted that mentality. Actually it may have been Homefront, 2011. That game had me absolutely furious and I ended up getting banned from the Steam forums 😂

After a few days, I gave up on Starfield when I realized there no real point to play.
No cool map like Fallout or TES. No awesome characters, no worth while story.
Only Loading screens, procedural generation and boring characters...

I wanna give you my opinion on this because my brother talked me into buying this game and I don't like game pass cause every time I get game pass even if I get a free trial. They charge me. So I ended up buying this game for the $90 price tag, because I was big bawling, and the first thing I said. Was, why is there a single city on a planet? And like I get it if it's like an uninhabitable planet, but a planet that you can walk around and breathe on one city, and that's it. That doesn't make any sense if they've made more sense in saying, yes, there are places that don't have people or aren't habitable. Or anything like that I would be like, yeah, sure, those are like Mining places or whatever? And if you do find a settlement, it's probably not gonna be great or they might all be dead 'cause they starved to death because something went wrong. But for some strange reason, you have to fly from Solar System to Solar System, to find different cities, it's stupid Whoever came up this game came up with the most half-baked idea ever. Because anybody who is in a room play testing this game should have been like dude, we should just limit this to like 4 planets with life on it and just make all the rest of them like you know, horrible fallout vaults or whatever that you go into when you try to find people who didn't want to be a part of society? But no, they didn't do that. They just did that with every planet

    • @TheeFURNAS_

Incredibly based. There are more "main cities" in pretty much every single other Bethesda game but like 2-3x. It's so bad...

The reasons I keep replaying Skyrim and Fallout 4:
    1. Mods
    2. Gore and melee combat with 3rd person killcams (Starfield has shit melee combat)
    3. Great open world and setting
    4. Great characters
    5. Swearing and mature content
    6. Mods
The only reason to play Starfield:
    1. Mods but they're not that great

I do have hope that the mods and future updates will eventually get Starfield to a much better spot. I know Skyrim took a while and people tend to forget that. But the starting spot was just so so so much better for Skyrim and DO4.

I preorder Starfield on steam and I'm playing it on game pass and don't regret it, however fallout 3 and 4... Lack luster I personally don't like the tone of the game overall but it's still playable but I'm much more about stalker 2, the game is unforgiving unlike fallout out it feels too wholesome but not brutal enough for me to enjoy it or feel any threat in the game enemies and creatures.
