Hi Nandi, First, I would like to congratulate you on passing boards & accepting your first PNP job! Your journey is inspirational for me. I'm currently in a PNP program. I recently passed my advanced patho & pharmacotherapeutics classes, which we beneficial but very generalized. I'm scheduled to start my specialty courses soon. Do your program’s specialty courses better prepare you for practice? For instance, did your specialty courses focus on diagnosing and treating your desired population? Also, have you found a routine; do you feel like you prescribe the same meds routinely?
Hey love!! Yes, your speciality courses will teach you everything you need to know. My program had us take a peds pharm class too JUST for our speciality. In peds, you def prescribe the same meds over and over .. the dosages may change but usually the meds stay the same, which I like. You’ll be more than prepared after you finish your speciality courses. Stay encouraged!! ❤️
GWORL ! As an aspiring nurse, I love your content !
Awww thank you!! The support means a lot 😘❤️
