My Wilson Lake Experience

The weather has been crazy here in Kansas. One day it is 40 degrees the next day its 84, and here recently we have had chances of rain everyday. With thunderstorms in the forecast I decided to roll the dice and go on a weekend camping trip to Wilson lake. I had never been to Wilson lake before but I had heard it is a very pretty lake. The rumors were correct (what a pretty lake)! Wilson has just about every species of fish a fisherman could want. My main focus was "going" to be Blue Cats, Stripers, and Small Mouth Bass. I did not have any luck trolling for Stripers and I forgot my drift sock for Blue Cats. So I turned my attention to Small mouth. My bait of choice for Small Mouth Bass is always the trusty Ned rig. The trip was full of ups and downs but I managed to keep a positive attitude and caught some fish. Thank you for watching and do not forget to Subscribe if you have not.

We have a private dock there. It's 15 miles from door to dock. We love our lake. Kids and us are fishing almost daily when school is out. Glad you enjoyed your time at our Oasis. 🇺🇲

Such a great lake! Won my first kayak tournament there this year. I think that little cove you're in around 4:08 I caught a couple largemouth and one decent little smallmouth in!

On thrle road I drove on there was one lane two way street road with (no guardrail) like on top of a mountain road looking down at my death on both sides of the road
