One of those few artists that is hard to tell if you like more watching or listening to. The sound of her erhu is amazing, but watching her face and how she moves you can almost see the music flowing through her skin. Sun Huang is a really special lady indeed.

I first heard you when you performed Butterfly Lovers with the youth orchestra and I immediately fell in love with your delicate, sensual, heart-felt, virtuosic touch. The performance is excellent and the Erhu has the potential, to get a musical instrument, which could get integrated into classical European orchestras. But the body of it needs to get larger, so that the deeper tunes get better resonance. The Erhu fits quite well to the personality of Carmen and Mrs. Huang interprets it excellently.

Is it typical chinese? What's its name? However, I regret that the sound of this (unnamed) instrument is not always as subtle as violin sound. Propbably due to its smaller chamber volume.

It is a traditional Chinese instrument, called ErHu

I think this piece is Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy and not Bizet's
That violin is deeper in tone than the original violin only talented Chinese can play that instrument.....
