Chris Stapleton did a lot of research and put a lot of respect and advocacy into mental illness awareness into this video. It shows the extreme highs and lows of being mentally ill and the ones that try to save their loved ones. It also shows the representation that even as a cop, who saves so many, couldn't save his loved one from her mental illness on his own. Acceptance, awareness, and action, stopping the taboo and speaking openly about these issues, helping your loved one to get help is how we save one another. 💚 ; your story isn't over yet

You are so blessed and we are so blessed to have a person like you in our lives, even if it isn't in person. We still feel your love, compassion and energy. Thank you for being you and using your insight from your past to help others. Love ya big!!❤

I stayed by him and loved him no matter how bad he got, I knew it wasn't his intention to be ugly, it was the wild mood disorder, but in the end I couldn't prevent him taking his life. You just keep showing her you love and appreciate her, give her a shoulder when she needs one, because she does (even if she doesn't say so).

Love you brother. For what it’s worth I’m a long time inpatient psychiatric counselor and now nurse for the last 12 years and I just want to say that your words are gold bro. You have no idea the depths your message here will reach. You’re part of the most important ripple effect there is and ever will be. Spreading love and hope. And understanding. Combined with everyone else’s ripples. A song, a reaction to the song combined with your own life experiences and struggles. God bless man. I’ve stayed working inpatient for 20 plus years now and the love I’ve seen, on all levels, sometimes just a crack. A smile. Keep putting your message out man. The love we put out for others goes so much further than than we humans can ever realize ❤ ✌🏻

I'm wiping the tears away right now. Between the video and you, I'm just one big puddle. I connect with everything you've said only I'm the one that has tried to be the stabilizer. You try to love them through it and let them know that you're in their corner when everyone else has given up on them. But lordy, it wears you out! Especially when drugs are involved. They do so well and actually thrive and out of the blue it starts all over. It's just so heartbreaking to watch it over and over. I'm talking about my grandson. He's now in jail for harassing a young lady that rejected him. I've begged them to get him some help while he's in there. They've done an evaluation but I don't know how it went until he goes to court. I did a background interview before she did the evaluation. His mother turned her back on him and his siblings when he was 6 months old. His dad was in jail and I took them in and raised them. We let his dad have them when he married another girl. They had 2 more and got divorced. I got them back because he was abusive to them and wasn't taking care of them. His dad was my step son and he got into drugs and OD 3 yrs ago. My husband and I gave all the love we could, but I think being rejected by both parents really messed him up! I'm up in my 70s and just feel I've done all I can except to encourage him to get the help he needs. He has 2 teen daughters and they need him.

big up to your tiger man! being on her side of the equation brings a cost. The amount of patience, understanding and energy it takes to keep faith in the love you feel for your spouse is unimaginable and it dictates the way you can live your life. Having to walk on eggshelves all day, being very aware of what you say and trying to keep calm when a breakdown occurs is pure magic and love. Setting aside your own sufferings to be able to cope with the situations your better half is in. Things that are made important in relationships by people around you, that you read about in books and on shows aren´t important at all. Being there for your partner in his or her time of need weighs in much heavier than sex, money, status or social life IF! he or she is your soulmate and you can´t live without her and vice versa. Knowing your life would be easier if you left him or her but at the same knowing that leaving that person would give them the final push and therefor sacrificing that (presumably) happier life to be her rock so she can indeed fire away.
My tip tho, educate yourself in the matter that is depression, ptsd, bipolair syndrome, ADD and psychosis so you will know what's happening and why. It makes it easier to be empathatic and knowing how to deal with the situation.
Brother your telling us how much you appreciate your wife, tell her as often as you can and be the most awesome husband you can be because i assure you, you have no idea how much she has done. Great reaction to an awesome song.

If it wasnt for my kids, that would have been me. But i am all they have after leaving their abusive father/my ex.
Still working on healing but working full time and raising kids full time alone, i dont have time to heal me. Im healing them. And i will never leave them.
The hardest part of this video is seeing her dispair face and knowing exactly that's what i look like after i get the kids in bed. And i got no one. I just shove it down and know i gotta get up the next day and get to work and fake happy so i can keep food in my kids bellys and a roof over our heads. And i can barely do that.
    Quitting would be easy.
    But I'm not a quitter.
    I'm strong.
    This is a hurdle.
    I will jump it.
    We will be ok.
I am finally able to start seeing the light.
    I. Will. Make. It.

But at the same time she also mirrored all the same struggles shown in this video and I had alot of the same experiences portrayed in this aswell. She found me when i was at my worst and pulled me out of the depths of hell and saved me and I tried so hard to save her but in the end I failed and for that ill never forgive myself I miss her so fucking bad every second of every day. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this subject. I've been in the breach as the caregiver. It is a superpower that I attribute to God's Grace. You wife knows as we enter the pain and meet you where you were. There is the message here that we just don't know what people are going through. Respect people wherever you meet them no matter what uniform the wear.

When you went from reacting to Bullet, to reacting to Fire Away, I thought oh no that will ruin the way you felt after Bullet. But then I thought, no it will probably only strengthen the appreciation you have for your wife. This one kills me every time, much like NF’s How Could You Leave Us or Happy.
My wife has to constantly deal with being bipolar and this video reflects the highs and lows like she goes thru. Luckily it is pretty well controlled now, but I still have that worry that someday she could unexpectedly hit rock bottom.

We have been together 20 years and I am so happy I didn't give up on her! We all struggle at different times we all need someone to help us get back up! Great reaction brother have a blessed day!

thank you.... thank you 😢 i am litetally at work ....working... tears and snot all over me for over an hour, sending "randomn " i love yous to my kids.....and then it was like you were right here speaking to me ...at that moment when you just need someone to know, but you do everything to keep anyone from finding out, and that makes sense to you! i just needed to be recognized, but without actually coming forward ...like i needed it, this night, maybe this hour, and there you fucking were!! someone who understands the shit that dont make any sense to most people. i just needed to feel love from one person who understood my brand of broken. lay your head down knowing you reached someone tonight. maybe God had to scream it...but through you, i fucking heard him.

Check out Marc Broussard. He’s another great soulful singer. Not Chris Stapleton big, but damn good

I feel like that since my husband died last year. Except the paranoia. I have no clue how to get help . I’m not sure if anyone else sees it.
