I'm the same way - I eat a burger as an excuse to put cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and ketchup on a bun. I do like the burger meat, but I don't want it to overpower the toppings and condiments

Wow, I am older than Chael I didnt know how little I knew about burgers and fries. Im actually still processing that the Whopper is the best fast food burger. Gonna take some time. Uncle Chael can we get an exception for bacon on a cheeseburger as added meat?
100% behind the undisputed on this one, every time he said something new i was right there with you, i hate that fake ranch or reduced fat anything, what they do is use an even leaner base and replace the fat with more seed oils. im to the point where im just going to make real buttermilk country ranch right here at home, that has to be the best with no garbage seed oils.
as far as the wings its all in the preperation and most places are not reliable for excellent wings.

Your description of what you want in a burger is the most American thing I've heard this year so far (🇨🇦). I typically ask what cuts are in the burger and if it's random medium groind, I expect cheap prices. But I do measure the quality of the meat. I'm not a foodie at all. I work in restaurants and cost : quality matters to me. Some ppl like to pay for the ambience. Some ppl like to pay for the food. Some like to pay for service. We go for our preferences but the meat is the feature-and the canvas from a cooks perspective. The the aromatics are the flavor base. You could limit the quality to simply veggies and spices. But there's so much possibility!
