    TIM missed his calling, should have been an engineering professor ,(except if he was engineering professor he would end up just another bser not a doer) he is as good as they get, knowledge ,presentation , and common sense .

    It all stared with Tony Shoes strain gauge coupler where they found for a .010 of a second @ lock up when she goes full rich on the ALL valve it made 11,082 hp. After that day ever alky guy or turbo D nozzle from sea to see was suddenly making 5,000 HP🤣

      I'm pretty sure Connie had a strain gauge on Doug's car long before Schumacher had one..... but yes, I get your point and I agree with everthing you said. Lol. 😁 🤘

    this may be a stupid.question, and anybody can answer this for me... But.. I understand 100% how these work on the back of a drag car like is on display in his showroom, but, do this card ever have sway bar set up on the front end? I would not think there would be a need, even a small diameter of light torsion tension away bar, just don't see ever anybody installing one. Yes, I understand, the kits on display are for the rest application... But,considering how much the front wheels are on the ground when it counts, or should I say, lack there of, lol... Meaning, under heavy launch, the front wheels don't really do much, I would assume??? thank you in advance

    • @weldingjunkie
      @weldingjunkie 5 лет назад +2

      I would say yes. They help with the roll through the turns but I’m not 100% on this.

      Front sway bars are for keeping the front from rolling when cornering. Important in road racing but not needed in drag racing

    • @Timmcamis
      @Timmcamis  5 лет назад +4

      As Ashkan stated, they can be used in other forms of racing on the front end, but not necessary in drag racing.

      @@Timmcamis thank you folks for answering my question... I did assume they served no function in this level of drag racing, but being I am not at this level of drag racing, I actually had no clue if the big dogs had roll bars in the front, well, now I know... Again, thank you, Dru

      @all, if I was driving the thing, I'd want it as stable as possible when I needed it... when you need it in a drag car, you already got one foot in deep shit...
      If it allowed me to recover from 30%, hell, 10% of the ones that get away, it's worth it in titanium... though, you only get 3-4 in a career, before you bite it bad enough to leave the sport.
      I just commented above, and posed the question of the Pro Mod animals seeming to crash a lot, and whether lack of adequate anti-roll gear is partly to blame.
      Just saving one is worth it.

    You sound like you've spent waaaay too much time watching what's his name do his Bush I, and church lady characters... LOL...
    I hurt it Every once in a while, I hear a hint of it, but it comes across as sincere...not intentionall
    Nice stuff, very nice. seems to me, gut feeling, mind, if I was running the driveshaft to match the anti-roll tube. Between the engine and the tires, the driveshaft is the weekest link...
    I've been wondering why these Pro Mods seem to crash a lot... got anything to do with insufficient anti-roll gear?.

    • @fastone371
      @fastone371 2 года назад

      Not really. Crashes usually are caused by tire spin downtrack, the back of the car gets loose, turns sideways and you are in for a hell of a ride with those big sidewalls and only 5-6 psi of air pressure. Try driving your daily driver on the freeway with 10-15 psi in the rear and you will get an idea of how a drag car handles. . Usually not enough time to recover before you find a wall. The anti-roll bars are basically to keep the cars from picking up the left front corner very high in relation to the right side, or "the chassis rolling on the rear suspension". A lot of home built cars with ladder bars also have these anti-roll bars but if you look at a rearend with a ladder bar rear suspension it is already a giant anti-roll bar in and of itself.

    Thank gawd he said it!!!! All you window lickers and even the 1320 or that racing channel or any other people that think they are making 4,000-5,000 hp!! Most of you are taking fuel flow numbers to compute HP . You don’t burn it all🤣 no proline motor no BAE no AJPE no Noonan no MBR no MBE none of you are making much more that 3,250 witch in its self is a ton of steam💪🏼 I was lucky enough to work for a really smart man who happen to buy AA dales dyno . We used it mainly to dyno blowers. This is probably why no ones ever seen a dyno sheet from a TAD ,TA/FC or pro mod engine!!! Because by their claims they would be humbled really quick . I would love if any one can prove me wrong and find a engine or even chassis dyno sheet.
