This video will go over my top 5 tips for the game that will be useful for both new players as well as returning players!
This video will cover the following:
- Specialization
- Collecting Cars
- Multiplayer Benefits
- Quick Finisher
- Bounty Broker
Bonus: What you should prioritize for looting.
Let me know in the comments below what are your top tips for State of Decay 2? Игры
Im actually suprised you have less than 1k subscribers. The way you give tips is so professional, and easy to understand. Very nice.
Glad you liked the video, gotta start from somewhere! :)
i have changed that in one more
I agree with that, well done
Agree 100%
Almost at 2k now, well deserved too!
I really hope that make a SOD3. The concept is great, building a community with random characters, having a story form around your community, ect. It just has lacked polish.
I hope they change the tether system too and fix the multiplayer issues.
All I want is to get rid of the endless spam of infestations. A mod tool would be enough to fix the game in general. There's just a bunch of little tweeks that are needed.
So many things they could improve, a proper crafting system, items that drop from zombies, the possibilities are endless
It might seem out of place in a zombie game, but a sort of loot progression system actually works great in survival games. I forget the name but there was this flash game I played years ago on kongregate that had a similar gameplay loop (go out, get resources and weapons, come back and base build), but it was even more addictive than state of decay because there were different levels of items and rarities
@@jac6548 unfortunately nowadays those systems are ripe for predatory corporate greed
Over 5 years ago I was unemployed and played State of decay 1. Was so much fun. Present day, I am playing state of decay 2 while unemployed. Lol, the world is funny
Why are you unemployed?
@@LordKukard corona
@@TheSushiandme ooooh yea i forgot about that existing ngl😂
@@LordKukard I only have $1.34 cents left. It's hard
@@TheSushiandme o yea ik im gonna be moving out in about a month but i either need a job or file unemployment cuz i have a whole 50 dollars in cash to my name😂
Tried this game before and it was confusing and not fun and I played the juggernaut edition and alot better and fun! thx for video
Glad you're enjoying it now and that the video was useful!
Nothing changed but menus, graphics, and a new map (and audio)...
Maybe you are referring to the improved tutorial?
The Watlingtons no dlc
@@KnightKnowledge
For me personally even after coming from State of Decay 1, I found 2 kinda fun but to frustrating to keep playing for very long.
I've returned for Juggernaut, and I'm not sure if it's the improved tutorial or the new map, but I'm having a lot more fun this time.
I used the baseball field at the valley and use the parking lot for all the cars and rucksack's with a trader leader.my base runs itself every new day I go up plus one or two at daylight
I’m a veteran at this game and have been playing it for years but I still love to watch tips and tricks just for entertainment but I gotta say for a little channel I was impressed with the amount of professionalism so good job bro
I appreciate it! Thanks!
In my head I see the ideal State of Decay: DayZ map size, The Division's graphics with some Rust base building/resource management sprinkled on top. Good game, but every time I'm playing I can't help thinking "this could be so much better!".
One day in a future game maybe!
No game is perfect and SoD2 is far from it, BUT for the Permadeath + Random extreme threat (Only ever played Nightmare mode), I've found it the most fun, most thrilling game I've played in a long while. Even just a random trip out to find gas can turn into some epic fight for survival. Love it!
@@johntaylorson7769 It has a lot of potential, true. I loved the original and I was so happy when I found out SOD2 was coming. BUT...the game has so many bugs and design flaws that every time I'm running around being chased by the undead, I can't stop thinking: "God! I wish I was playing a better game."
@@Empress_Theresa Ha! I do know what you mean. I have a bunch of games like that which I really, really want to love, but can't help myself thinking 'If only this were game X, this would be better'. It really is a matter of each to their own. I'm new to the whole permadeath mechanic, so a game where I can't stab F5 for quicksaves is a whole new world for me!
Empress Theresa! I didn't know you liked videogames
Very helpful tips Especially on the Influence farming in multiplayer without progressing my own game.
Unsure why someone even gave you a dislike.
Glad it helped you out!

Oh dear, Greg would be exiled from my community faster faster than it took me to type this!
Speaking of exiling members.. I got a gravestone in my community screen because I exiled someone and they got mauled by zombies about 15-20 meters after leaving the front door.. Apparently, they still "count" as a member of your community until they despawn.. I have had 0 deaths in my community aside from that exile dying..
Masquerade404 samee
@@Abbertown TBH I don't recall if I did or not.. Been a very long time ago.. as in 6+ months ago.. Recently started playing again (in small sessions here and there) and saw the tombstone and instantly remembered why it was there..
Greg isn’t that bad. I had a character like Greg and I just used a grenade launcher and used him exclusively for plague hearts
@@Masquerade404 you literally sent him to his death and he just went 😂
Very professional presentation with good information. Looking forward to more of your SOD content. Keep up the good work.
I bought this game today on steam and I need to prepare myself. You're the best! I subscribed!
Glad it helped! Hope you enjoy the game!
As a returning SOD2 player, I highly appreciate this video and getting back into it is gonna be a breeze! Keep up the great work!
Glad it helped, hope you have fun!
Super informative and helpful I needed to know these haha, gonna start streaming State of Decay 2 soon!!
Glad it helped! Good luck with the streaming!
Just a tip, you can park multiple cars in a spot if you put them close together, it's probably a better tip for moving base than anything but could be helpful.
Thats also great!
I have watched many of these 'tips' videos and this is the first one that actually gives tips that are not obvious. Thank you, especially the quick finish tip. Brill. This was so useful thank you!
I'm glad they helped you out!
The first week of the first game’s release I saw the demo available, figured I’d try it out. Best choice I ever made!
This is solid. I just started playing last night and youre the first video I watched about it and im glad i did. Thanks man. Well done.
Glad it helped! Have fun!
I am amazed at how easy to understand your way of explaining things is. Subbed and will be looking forward to more content from you
i appreciate the support!
WONDERFULLY helpful. Thanks a ton for this.. ok.. going off to watch more of your videos! :)
Glad you found it helpful; cheers!
Hi! Great work and videos. I came here from tips#2 video. One thing that I liked from your videos is your speech. I'm from Argentina, I know english, but you speak clearly and understandable like few others youtubers out there. I like that. Makes easy for me to understand you. Keep at it.
I'm glad it helped! Cheers!
I absolutely love this video and I always come back to it every time I play !
actually best tips on youtube, thanks!
Wow I love the video man, make more! Maybe more about the base building mechanics and the essentials for that!
good idea; ill start brainstorming, thanks!
This video is so good! ty for the upload x
Here I am watching this video as i repurchased this game on pc thinking that this was a big channel, then I looked at your subscribers and my mouth dropped. I know theres videos everywhere, but this was very informational and straight to the point. Thank you sir
Glad you liked it! Cheers
Just started getting into this game and your video helped a ton... thanks.
Blew my mind when he put the truck in front of the entrance to his base, you have earned my sub
great channel man i'm so surprised you don't have more subscribers, you got my subscription very helpful info!
Glad it helped! Thanks for the support!
One thing I learned the other night was always check the trunk of drivable vehicles, even if you have no intention of taking it! My community was on the brink of starving, and I randomly thought about checking a car I found to see. Found a food rucksack in there that kept the community going juuusstt enough to get a nice source of food!
You can also craft food at gardens as well. It requires some crafting materials, labor and makes noise, but it's what I did when I was low on food as well
Good tips with nice format for learning
Sick video my guy, this is professional. Btw I subbed
Great video, actually useful tips that aren't the same as every other channel
Thank you! That's what I was going for!
Great video! I would suggest using 2 vehicles in a V shape to block gates. The stupid AI tend to open the gates outward and it will wreck the vehicle. Keep up the good work.
Also unless it's changed with the new update, I kite juggs away from cars whenever they get close. Had plenty of cars ruined by juggs coming at my base and just bumping them over and over
Great vidoe man, love the commentary!
very helpful tips, thank you 💙
This channel is so underrated keep up the good work bro🙂
Thank you!
One of my top tips would be to arm your survivors left at base with shotguns and 7.62 rifles. Even blood juggs don't stand a chance. I haven't lost a character during a siege since my third playthrough, about 50 playthroughs ago, using that method.
Another tip: against standing enemies, you can neither do a normal back-facing, nor special forward-facing Finisher when completely out of stamina. You can, however, very quickly grab and push a target from behind to not only drop them to the ground, but also knockdown an entire line of other zombies.
Note that you will need to quickly spam the push (Spacebar default on PC) after grabbing a target, or your exhausted character will immediately release the zombie.
Good tip!
Great tip!
I really enjoyed this video!thank you
Great video! Been playing for awhile and still learned from it!
I'm glad! Cheers!
Damn good video - just bought SoD2Juggernaut on sale and this is a great help !
Have fun!
Loved your tip on character specialization. Never realized the benefit of waiting to specialize!
Glad it helped!
solid tips, getting back into it after 2 years and going strait into nightmare mode i totally forgot about saving resources joining my friends games and the trick with the cars for defending base
Glad it helped and good to hear that you're enjoying it again 👍
Sweet Video, just got the game and this was very helpful
Thank you bro this is exactly what I needed! Psyched to play this game now :-).
Have fun!
extremely helpful, definitely subscribing and coming back, i will use these, great video, idk how 6 people disliked the vid
thanks for the support! Can't please everyone, as long as it helped one person, I'm fine with that!
Great video. Concise and clear, perfect
Glad it was helpful! Cheers!
Just played this game my first time and goddamn these plague hearts are hard to destroy without explosives
I appreciate all your videos on State of Decay
Glad you found them useful!
This guy is one of the few you tubers who actually makes good, informative videos. Great vid man I’m subscribed
I appreciate it; cheers!
Knight Knowledge no problem brotha, thanks for the response!
I've been putting this game off for a while and my friend convinced me to finally get it. This was very helpful since my homie isnt on.
Glad it helped; the devs keep impressing me with frequent major updates to keep the game fresh!
Thank you so much pal. Your tips are very helpful
Glad they helped, have fun!
Great video! I played this game b4. It was to hard n such. But its easier now n more fun. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great content! Keep it up!
Tip 2 is great, and learnt it early on, I do it too for the same reason, rucksack storage, and have encouraged both my friends to do it in their play through.
Thanks for the help !
Great tips! Thx.
I know so many people that need to see this
Thanks! Very useful
such a chill nd good vid!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. You can also save rucksacks in the community's inventory after unequiping through a "trade sale" with an ally. Its been a life saver for me.
Can you elaborate?
@@johanhereorahummerhielm9034 its been a bit since I last played, but I used to enlist a follower from allies and when you trade/sell with them, i would be able to "unequip" the rucksack id be holding. Unequiping allowed me to store them in my community inventory until I was ready to use them!
You are so underrated. Great work!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Just started playing this on Xbox Game Pass. Thx for the tuts!
Have fun!
Played the first one literally to death (giggidy) and started this last night, and its been a mad rush over and over and over. Thank you, was doing okay but my base was a wreck, so really thank you for these tips
Glad they helped! Have fun!
This is a great video. How do you only have 2000 subscribers?!
One day at a time :)
Came back to this game, it really has improved so much!
It has! I'm surprised the devs kept at it. Good on them 👍
There’s one thing i did forget though, if you complete a game did your entire community transfer or was it just three? I remember always loading 3 survivors with loot that i wanted to keep, but now i saw some sort of inventory with 50 space for survivors from previous communities.
@@gewoonvictor6163 when you finish a legacy, your entire community goes into a pool of 50. In future new games you can select from that pool to use 3 of them or use totally new, random ones
Knight Knowledge thank you so much! I couldn’t find that anywhere and was wondering if i maybe should clean it up a bit.
Nice video for begging players. Things to remember: When changing bases the number of AVAILABLE open vehicle parking spots of where you are MOVING TO are the number of vehicles that will move with you. The best way to farm influence is with a Pharmacologist, level 3 infirmary, and a pill press mod. You will be able to craft strong pain killers cheaply and make a huge profit off of little resources (meds). Powerhouse + Discipline + CQC provides the best melee build in terms of stamina conservation. Equip the character with a random blunt weapon and your finisher move will be a front facing grapple with a head stab. This will remove the necessary step for dodging behind and it is absolutely quiet and more efficient.
I've been looking for a medicine and cooking member to find something I can craft and make a profit from; thanks!
CQC is great, but it’s a bit hard with a hoard. I like striking, the Heavy Slam arrack can send hordes to their feet.
@@zachb1706 Good point. I usually just nuke hoards with fuel bombs.
@@KnightKnowledge Medicine and Chemistry are what is needed for the strong painkillers. Good luck and enjoy.
@@zachb1706 my best friend likes using Heavy Slam; ill pair it with the faster finishers of close combat and we make a deadly team :)
Playing multiplayer with a buddy is awsome makes collecting cars super easy
My type of channel. Starting, awesome content, calm voice, nic2 content. No begging.
Love these games, great community and a caring developer. Can't wait the update and SoD3
For skills I always run Backpacking and Resourcefulness for the extra inventory slots (+1 from each) to put a couple stacks of ammo into and keep my backpack slots open.. Of course, the default 2 slots are for HP and SP regen items..
Finally some tips that I can actually use... THANK YOU
Glad to hear it!
if your on dreadzone or nightmare i’d recommend using a stealth character
and if you do i’d use the crossbow its really helpful when fighting small groups of zombies
and if you fight a large group use hide and use firecrackers and molotovs to deal with them
Just got into State of Decay 2 again. Great video! I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers. RUclips Algorithm is weird, I suppose.
Thanks! State of Decay 2 is one of those games that are so easy to come back to
How do you not have a lot of likes this video is great for returning players like me
it'll hopefully get there one day!
Nice guide for a new player like me
I luv this game man cnt wait to see wats nxt i played this so much i had over 100 community s lol they all died do to disease
Tip 4 I learned real quick playing daybreak for the first time.
I buyed and downloading, nice advise
Finally a quality zombie game RUclipsr I love zombie games as well I can spend hours upon hours playing I guess because I grew up playing games like left for dead with my family and I miss those days
Some of my most hilarious multiplayer moments was playing L4D as well 🤣
@@KnightKnowledge same man i wish I had a group to play state of decay 2 on Xbox with
Vilheim ayoo bro I just download the games was wondering if anybody still played 😂 add me: RIPTHENOSTALGIA
I’m so lost and so intrigued by this game, love just being along for the ride!
My friend introduced me to the original State of Decay and it was tough for me to get into it (I probably could have tried harder). I’m not too sure what made me start playing State of Decay 2 but I definitely fell in love with it early on. I’ll put a bunch of hours into it then stop for a while but I always come back it’s always fun.
this was sooooo helpful
Glad it helped!!
nice vid
Never played State of Decay but I decided to download it for Xbox 1 and when I tell you I’ve been played for like 12 hours straight. This game is excellent
Glad you're having a blast!
The fact that you even have Greg in your group and haven't exiled someone with those negatives makes me wonder
A great hero bonus can negate many negative traits. Meal Plan for some players is quite desirable.
New sub, good video you should do a play through!
I was recording a 3-man Nightmare mode playthrough but was unable to record my friend's voices.. soon hopefully!
Knight Knowledge a multiplayer play through would be very interesting, most of the SoD youtubers always go solo, id love to see a multiplayer take on it all
I must be naturally good lol I only have about 4 hrs clocked in from one play through and I have toooons of gas, toolkits, a few cars, my base all upgraded(obv not fully but I found a bunch of mods while scavenging that are helping a ton at the start), tons of guns and mods and my base is fully stocked on almost every resource, tons of consumables and my first 4 characters pretty geared up, and a 2 outposts for medicine and ammo generation, plus the military outpost you get from that mission. I got more going on but i think you get it lol tbh I found a sedan with like 8 storage spots that I swap out with a ranger SUV with 6 storage spaces and looted almost everything in my immediate area on the character I mainly play ass with an 8 slot backpack and a follower with the same bag as an extra inventory space and someone to watch my back while I fill one character’s inventory before swiping to the other. I use mainly stealth kills with a crossbow and a silenced AK or melee stealth kills to get around and trow all of the rucksacks in my truck, fill my pockets and bags with consumables and ammo, then have 2 extra rucksacks on each characters back. When 2 get tired I transfer everything from my trunk, keep the rucksacks on them, then switch to the other 2 for another quick run. Im on day 3 or for and i send 2 out in day runs and 2 others on night runs. That’s where I’m at rn, trying to rack up 2400 or so influence to buy the power plant or reenforced truck stop place. I’ll definitely use some of these tips though, especially that quick finisher one, that’ll come in handy very often.
In SoD2 your community can crumble in a second from 1 bad move ,so never think your in the clear.
you must play on easy 😂.
If you are feeling the game is not giving you enough of a challenge I recommend you to play on the higher difficulties, but only if you really feel like it. At the end of the day you are playing to have fun so don't feel lees for playing on standard zone or as they call it: "easy mode"
Morale is the hardest part of the game for me
My favourite specialisation is sword play, it's fun to sprint up to a board and make them crawlers in a couple of seconds.
when the horde gets too big, the leg swipe of swordplay is invaluable! They can't chase you if they're crawling on the ground!
I park VANS in my parking slots. They hold more, 8 slots, and you can go crazy and put all your MEDS in the Ambulance, FOOD in the BBQ van, Materials in the Dewitt Van, ETC.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that did the same thing 😂
Great youtuber
Even better tips... use the trader glitch to store rucksacks in the inventory (as opposed to in limited storage and/or cars) and use the mod glitch to stack mods and get 8 outposts.
Some more tips are
1. when trading with enclave you can un-equip rucksacks if you have available space in pockets or backpack then can store in storage
2. while in another game you can transfer rucksacks to your base when in a trunk of vehicle and they are equip in the rucksack slot
3. use the Xbox official club to find people to play with(don't know what it is for steam)
Also I figured it out that if you are getting swarmed by zombies and maybe a feral and you can't fight them off and don't want to destroy your car. Get on top of it and pick them off one by one
Agree 95% on info. Bt in my opinion #1 thing to look out for is mods( things you can add to spaces in ur camp that allow you to make certain items or give certain buffs) my fav: ammo presses, parts mill and improvised weapon table. After that any weapon u come apone on especially hi-power guns the ones that use this ammo: 5.56, 7.blank blank and 50 cals
Bonus tip in case you guys didnt know.
Juggernauts can be easily killed by back ramming them with the rear of the vehicle. It can be tedious, but it's the safest way to kill juggernauts, plus the vehicle will survive, just the back doors will fall off, however its sorta cosmetic if you're on your own.
Quick tip if you bring a trader with you your able to put the rucksack in your inventory and put it in your storage
I have found a way to get rucksacks into your inventory, have a rucksack on your back, go to an enclave click on trade with enclave, go to the rucksack on your back an press X on Xbox square on ps, it will then put it in your pocket, head to your supply locker and store them
how do you get them back out and deposit them? I had one in my inventory and I couldn't figure out how to put it back on my back so I could deposit it. I thought it was a bug lol.
Wow did not expect this intro haha
I like to get the leg sweep ability which also kills zombies easily, also I would recommend jamming the fuck out of ALL of your characters before you do the legacy mission, per example give em all a rucksack and get all your good ass guns and loot so next time you use them in a community you will have a BIG head start
I like using the leg sweep as well when things get hectic & out of control ;)
Just a quick update regarding the Rucksacks. You can actually store them directly to your base while you are in a multiplayer session by just going to a car that is parked in a parking space and storing the rucksack from there. So the resources will be stored directly to your colony that way.
Great tip!
