It is one of my favorite. Tyler uses often the same metaphors : - fire : passion, inspiration, art - neon: false fire, music for money, fame before art - bones: fundamental core value (see hometown) - up, above: god, divine inspiration (the sun is superior to the fire) - black : insecurity -red: fear - yellow: hope - blue: false
it reminded me of Morph and the 3 ways to avoid thinking about death ABOVE (to have faith in a after life) is blind belief UNDER (to give up on life) is sword to sleeve AROUND (to live forever) is cientific miracle
when i say it was magical when he did the sahlo folina part during a concert-tears were spilled it was that magical in concert-tyler is truly phenomenal
This song live at the beginning of the tour when they projected on the screens in a box shape coming down over the second stage was one of the best live performances I've ever seen.
Never clicked so fast. This song is my anxiety killer. When I heard it in Overcompensate I cried. ❤❤❤❤ Also.... CANNOT wait to find yall at an Ohio show this year 😍😉
TRENCH as an album is such a cohesive masterpiece. Paul Meany producing this just takes it to another level. The atmosphere and journey that we are on in these songs is unmatched. Bandito really is this ride that you just let the boys take you through and that's really the entirety of TRENCH. It's such a well thought out, well written, and well produced record.
I love TOP, besides the lore I also think Tyler and Josh write their music keeping in mind how it will fit in a live concert. How will each song tell a story while at the same time engage the audience. This is why their concerts are so incredible. ❤❤❤
I'm still in love with this song. For the song with its slow build and just when you think it's peaked it rises up again with Josh's drums at the end. But also for the memory of the amazing B stage performance of the song on the tour and Tyler's iconic dancing.
"Sahlo Folina" roughly translates to creative expression but also if you rearrange the letters it spells out All Ohio Fans - so a nod to the original fanbase I have no idea how Tyler comes up with all this shit and makes it fit together but he's a genius
It’s great watching you guys get THIS into it. Love it for real. Gives me goosebumps watching this type of stuff. Right in the feels as it should be. . .
“I could take the high road but I know I’m going low, I’m a bandito” he could have high spirits, positivity for himself, but he can feel that he’s going to be down on himself, he’s a bandito
sahlo folina is my next tattoo. its just such an empowering phrase. i fell in love with this song. its almost trance inducing. im so glad you guys enjoyed it. this song live is also insane, hearing everyone sing it together in harmony. i cry everytime.
@@inktob Tyler Joseph has said that it is a cry for help that the Banditos use in Trench but there is a unanimous agreement that it means to enable freedom, creativity, and expression. Basically a phrase that inspires you, in whatever way you need it.
people overlook songs like this because they don't realize these type of songs are meant to be felt. which is why they repeat, it's basically like a chant.
I think this song, more than any other he's been involved with, shows the genius of Paul Meany as a producer. The heights he has pushed Tyler and Josh to are incredible. I loved him in Mutemath, but he kills it as TOP's producer.
I LOVE when you do TOP. I’m stuck in bed most of the time with chronic pain. And even though Tyler‘s pain was different from mine, I feel like I can really associate myself with their music. Trench is the place between what I guess people might call real life and depression. That’s why he struggles to stay out of the city. I also loved in this song that he shouted out his fans because he says when we say the words back to him, it’s enough to get him through. I am Leslie and I am a Bandido.
Yay! Yes, this one is so good and really helps fill out the story. Leave the City, the last song on Trench, is also important. Tyler puts a lot of thought into where songs sit in their albums, how they open and where they leave the audience as the lead in to the next album... def worth more vibing from you two!! ❤||-//💛
Bandito is seriously chef’s kiss 😘👌 So grateful to have seen/heard it live. People were crying, cheering, strangers hugging strangers. It’s such an anthem as well as integral to the narrative
I love this song and it’s so cool to hear live!! I closed my eyes to vibe to the music and opened them to see Kyle doing the same thing. I’m glad you guys dug it!
Another great 21 Pilots reaction gents!! I absolutely LOVE this song! They have such a way of getting emotion out of any sound - and the lyrics are always on point. I don't know how they do it, but I'm glad they do! Cheers.
first line after open chorus, i believe it is talking about where our souls come from being god, and the blood being our physical selves here in this life. this incarnation
I saw them with my daughter and son in 2018 in Phoenix Walking Stick Arena. They had An A and B stage. The B stage was closer to me. I loved Tyler's dancing during this song!!! Great memories...
After second or third listen this song started to have such grip on me, it skyricketed up to my favorites, especially after I took a closer look at the lyrics, plus the music... takes me on a journey, another realm, with Chlorine. Man I love the Trench album so much, I'm beyond excited new one is going back to that feel
God a new one for you boys! “Greed” by the band A Killers Confession, the singer was the harsh vocalist in Mushroomhead his name is Waylon Reavis. Super underrated as a singer ! Hope you check it out, thank you for these 💪
how did i not even know that bandito ties into overcompensate, yet somehow kyle did?! i’m mad at myself rn, but good job kyle for catching something i missed, 😂
"But I'm still not sure if fear's a rival, or close relative to truth" will never stop hitting hard.
It is one of my favorite.

YES!!!!!!!!!
The MTV unplugged was phenomenal, watching them create that music together. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it
PLEASEEE ITS SO GOOD
One of my favourite ones. Seeing Kyle just listening with his eyes closed is just the vibe
For some reason I just love listening to this song with my eyes closed ? Gives me a lot of peace.
when i say it was magical when he did the sahlo folina part during a concert-tears were spilled it was that magical in concert-tyler is truly phenomenal
Yes, seeing this live in concert was the best thing ever!
I third this.... I saw them live and this was amazing.
YES!!! What I saw/heard live is stenciled on my brain.
This song live at the beginning of the tour when they projected on the screens in a box shape coming down over the second stage was one of the best live performances I've ever seen.
I wish I experienced it too.
Never clicked so fast. This song is my anxiety killer. When I heard it in Overcompensate I cried. ❤❤❤❤

Same for me ❤
Same. Didn’t really know if I was crying, laughing or cheering

I hope they can react to some Mutemath songs at a certain point. Paul Meany is freakin awesome!

Huge agree ❤
Favorite song on Trench. Super underrated
Agree
This is such an ethereal song. So haunting and beautiful! Awesome reaction. I'd love for you to do "leave the city". It's another haunting song.
I love TOP, besides the lore I also think Tyler and Josh write their music keeping in mind how it will fit in a live concert. How will each song tell a story while at the same time engage the audience. This is why their concerts are so incredible. ❤❤❤
This song is a slow build vibe. Night time country road drive under the stars song.
Truly one of times greatest bands period!!! ERIC AND KYLE you two make music even cooler....so keep going! ❤❤❤
I'm still in love with this song. For the song with its slow build and just when you think it's peaked it rises up again with Josh's drums at the end. But also for the memory of the amazing B stage performance of the song on the tour and Tyler's iconic dancing.
we are getting closer to "tear in my heart"
omg yes! i would love to see them react to tear in my heart!!

loved your reaction as always! bandito is such a masterpiece 🥹

Man. This song, late summer, night driving on a back country road with the windows down. It's a vibe.
Bandito was magical live. So many of us were wearing yellow too! ❤
Fall away - twenty one pilots (album n.1)
sahlo folina is my next tattoo. its just such an empowering phrase. i fell in love with this song. its almost trance inducing. im so glad you guys enjoyed it. this song live is also insane, hearing everyone sing it together in harmony. i cry everytime.
what does it mean?
@@inktobAll ohio fans = sahlo folina

@@jadedaniella oh nice
you guys need to listen to NEON GRAVESTONES
They already did
YAY !!!! At last. One of my most favourite songs
goosebumps at this song every time. especially in the context of the call back in overcompensate
Bro I’m so glad you guys reacted to this song, one of my favorites
WE STILL NEED FALL AWAY LIVE WITH DR BLUM
people overlook songs like this because they don't realize these type of songs are meant to be felt. which is why they repeat, it's basically like a chant.
Dancing to the last part of the song is so refreshing. Tyler has some cute moves to it
I think this song, more than any other he's been involved with, shows the genius of Paul Meany as a producer. The heights he has pushed Tyler and Josh to are incredible. I loved him in Mutemath, but he kills it as TOP's producer.
The only one left is The Outside. It's a bridge between Nico and the niners and Overcompensate
They still have Morph and Saturday to listen to
little fun thing here, if i remember correctly, tyler had mentioned that “sahlo folina” is a phrase that the banditos use as a kind of cry for help
You gotta watch a video of Tyler dancing to this live omfg you know how much he really loves this song.
also Sahlo Folina is just “I need your voice” played backwards💛🖤💛🖤
not it’s not

This is one of my favorites. The lyrics are fairly repetitive, but it's so atmospheric.
Hearing this song live was a spiritual experience.
Such a great song..love trench
Such a haunting, yet calming and beautiful song.. glad you guys experienced it! Great Reaction!
So glad you guys went through this one. It’s one of my favorites on the album and is so necessary for understanding Overcompensate. ✌🏻
I love this song and it’s so cool to hear live!! I closed my eyes to vibe to the music and opened them to see Kyle doing the same thing. I’m glad you guys dug it!
