    One of my favorite scenes from the Inheritance cycle was when eragon had to travel with garzvog (I don't remember the Urgal leader's name..) and he learns about Urgal culture and later on he decides to give chance to Urgals and Dwarfs on becoming dragon knights... I my head, I imagined the Urgals as being minotaurs, I didn't know there was a book with images of the Inheritance universe 😅

    All creative work is inherently built on top of hundreds of man-hours that will never see the light of day.
    As a musician I throw away somewhere between 50 - 90 % of all projects i start with. Many never pass 5 hours of time spent. But when Fortuna smiles down on me and if the initial idea is good, I’m in a good flow and I have time and motivation, then maybe, just maybe, I get a few minutes of actual music out of it, created over many dozens of hours, sometime over the span of months or years, even.
    This quote has been used time and time again, because it’s so true: "An art pieces is never finished. It is merely abandoned."
    In the end you gotta love the process at least as much as the goal of finishing it. Cos otherwise you’ll either never finish, trying to perfect something that can never be perfect, or you’ll be frustrated with the amount of time "wasted" on stuff you threw away, when thats rly the only way to give this skill a serious workout.

Like I said you truly helped me out when I needed it the most. I absolutely loved / hated, The fork,the witch, and the worm. I was over the moon about it.Then when I read it in one sitting I was so sad that I hade it read it over and over again for almost a week lol just to burn it into my mind. So now that Eragon is tending to the new order of riders. In his free time what knowledge does Eragon pursue. Does he seek to further his scholarly studies or does he spend his free time attending to current problems and relations.
    Since Eragon is free to grow both in wisdom, knowledge, and power. I was really hoping we'd get a clue on what facet he's strengthening at the moment.

    I read the Wizard of the Earthsee after first two Eragon books, and I was like - hmm, somewhere we have already seen the ancient language, true names of things and people etc.😊 Definitely see this aspect of influence. Although in Inheritance it is more fully developed, with its own sentences, grammar.
    Btw, I have read many fantasy books, but it is incredible how you described Arya's character, I was actually able to fall in love with her lol. And after the end it was like 'nooo, I need more Arya, where is Arya?' 😅
    You should definitely include her in any future stories about Alagaesia, it would make things way more emotional.

      Well, unless something very unfortunate happens, they both have hundreds if not thousands of years to live. So they could get a chance someday. I would imagine after a thousand years or so that Eragon might hand over the reign of the riders to someone else who is more in touch with the current world of Alagaesia rather than the one he grew up in. Then maybe he can be with Arya.

I nearly readed Eragon again and alot of things what characters say is true late in story... Like in beggining, when Brom telling some details to Eragon and meaning him not exactly some things. Like short talk about Selena, or about his later trainings and other... Im very curious about it, how you did it step by step .. thank you

    I actually have a few ideas for the upcoming live action adaptation of Eragon. I would like to have Guillermo Del Toro as the director and Mark Gustafson and Steven Spielberg as producers alongside you. And for the magical creatures i would like the director to use practical effects as well as cgi. That means self made armor and make up for the Urgals and Razac and the use of advanced animatronics for the dragons, Lethrblaka and Fanghur. I would also like all the dragons to have four legs and 2 wings to make them look different from the dragons from Game Of Thrones. I would also like each character to have a good written character arc. I would also like all the dragons to speak with their mouths. I would also like the series to make the Inheritance series fairytale like and i would like each season of the show to have distinct colors to match the passage of the nature seasons.

      I'm not Christopher Paolini, but I've seen prequels usually numbered as 0.5 in series. It becomes more of a headache when there are multiple prequels, but then you can just number them based on however many there are. For example, if a series has a prequel trilogy, you can number them 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9.
      Don't take this as a final answer though, I don't know how they handle this in the publishing industry.

      Or in the event of a rider who overreached with sorcery and became a shade as a consequence.

    • @AveryPowers77
      @AveryPowers77 Год назад

      My question would be if the dragon would still be bound to them afterward. Because a shade, from what I understand, is no longer the person but a collection of dark spirits. So I think either the bond would break, or the dragon would also have to be possessed or enslaved for it to work.

    • @wilsonmiranne214
      @wilsonmiranne214 Год назад

      @@AveryPowers77 I'm not certain. Carsaib still existed in some capacity within the shade Durza, as was apparent when Eragon was experiencing the Shade's memories. I am imagining more of a possession or situation like in the movie "Get Out."
      What that would do to a Dragon Bond, I have no clue, but I doubt it would break it. Dragon and Rider are stitched together at the soul, so maybe a rider can be more resistant? Maybe it would require more or stronget spirits, with the Rider and Dragon both needing to be possessed? It's hard to really think about with no in-setting president having been set.

    • @AveryPowers77
      @AveryPowers77 Год назад

      @@wilsonmiranne214 Yeah with no explanation of exactly how the bond works and could be broken all of it is just speculation. I would say that it might break because a shades true name would be different than the riders but true names change throughout your life so I doubt that would be the case. Idk how it would work, but I cant imagine a good-minded dragon would do all the horrible things a shade would ask of them unless they were forced to. Because from what I understand bonded dragons don't have to follow the riders orders. But I am planning on rereading the books again because it has been a few years so maybe I am forgetting something.

    • @wilsonmiranne214
      @wilsonmiranne214 Год назад +1

      @@AveryPowers77 You haven't said anything inaccurate. Neither party in the bond is beholden to the word of the other (Eragon's decision to remain in Helgrind in Brisingr as an example).
      About the closest comparison that I can think to make would be Eragon's episodic back pain as a result of his duel with Durza. When he would undergo the episodes, Saphira was still herself (though immediately aware), and decidedly chose to shelter Eragon as best as she could from the pain mentally.
      Given that loose precedence, it could be that the rider shade would be projecting that kind of constant abuse and pain mentally at their bonded dragon to wear it down.
      Scratch all of that, as a new thought occurs to me while typing. If a rider is made a shade, it would stand to reason that, as a matter of self preservation, it would want to make a shade of the dragon. Likewise for self preservation, as well as a means of grimly 'rescuing' their bonded partner, it would stand to reason that a dragon would decide to kill their rider, should it detect that they summoned more or stronger spirits that the rider could handle.
      I imagine that the latter would make for a very pretty and sad short story.

    Hey Chris, it's 13 Feb 2022 and I just finished the 4th Eragon book, it's SO F******* AMAZING!!! 😍 I also watched that awful movie Hollywood made 😢 ... Well, I'm an animater, 32 yrs old with 20 years exp and I would love to animate Eragon episodes with u backing me? Perhaps there's some way u and I could talk about it? I've done quite a few sketches that I'd love to show u so that u can see just how much ur novels has inspired me. I would like to animate ur novels exactly as u have written it, word for word and exactly how u described each area, each movement etc. I already have some really talented voice actors who r just as inspired as I am and who r ready to do this with me asap... If there's a way for me to contact u directly PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEASE let me know, thank you so much for ur amazing piece of literature.
