I am the honest vocal coach! I have been teaching for 15 years and been singing since I was 16. I teach from my own studio and also teach and mentor via email, and online via Live & Skype. I specialise in teaching children, and teenagers pop and musical theatre but I am trained in all genres of music. I have studied every voice technique there is, including Speech Level Singing, Estill, Bel Canto, Robert Lunte, London College of Music, ABRSM, Ria Keen, Kim Chandler, Stevie Van Lange and many more. I have been around!
In 2008 I wrote the Vocaltutor Guide, 21 set lessons for singing teachers to get started, learning to teach, and produced 3 vocal exercise CD/Downloads.
I am now working on my first online singing programme. The Foundations of Singing that will be available on Udemy.

The Amazon reviews for the album are absolutely hilarious. I encourage anyone in the need of a good laugh to read them. Here's a couple of examples:

It all started when Mrs Tompkins, the chair of the Upper Wallop Womens Institute was given a copy of this CD by Alfred, her long suffering husband, for yet another misdemeanor, this time forgetting to water the greenhouse and ruining her chances of winning longest cucumber in the village show for a record sixth year. But I digress…
When Mrs Tompkins played this CD, on hot day with the windows open, a cry of 'Oi, turn that rubbish down' came from one of the travellers. Apparently it was unsettling their horses. At the following weeks Neighbourhood Watch meeting, again chaired by Mrs Tompkins, (certain people suggest she is somewhat power hungry), it was suggested that the residents of the houses around the green, from 'Honeysuckle Cottage', up to 'Dunteachin' played this CD simultaneously at 10am, on full blast, creating a circular wall of sound around the green. And hey presto, after three run throughs the travellers upped and left. Thank you Katie & Peter."
"This album is good. It supports at least three to four cups of tea. If you use the CD case, the CD and the sleeve as coasters, you will be pleased as punch that you didn't get those awful tea/coffee rings on your table. I love it. Thank you."
If I'm ever feeling down, I always watch the version with the autotune removed. Guaranteed I will be laughing my butt off by the end of the video. 😂😂

Hats off to Peter having to sing with that. He probably had to concentrate even harder and sing despite her. I do like Peter Andre, he's a lovely guy. And has a decent voice, but imagine having to compensate trying to sing next to that!!!

I was thinking the same thing the whole time. I had to perform once with a colleague from college who claimed to know how to sing yet was completely tune deaf 🤦♀️ this is really an unbelievably hard job to try and sing along with something like that

In fairness, Katie has difficulty in speaking properly. She had no chance with singing.
I remember watching this live. It was for children in need. Honestly my husband turned the tv off... now I’ve seen all of it and that it didn’t get better I’m glad he did!

Yeah, Peter's a massive Michael Jackson fan. He was in a competition when he was a kid (teenager) where he was basically just imitating Jackson, including some hilariously embarrassing dance moves. XD

Yep, she entered a competition to find the UK's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. She wore a hideous bright pink catsuit type thing, if memory serves. And she was certainly pregnant, although not sure it was with Harvey. She was very young when she had him and she may just have been a model then, rather than branching out into other stuff.
That performance was much better, although since you can do so much with autotune, I don't know how much of it was real. Still not great, but better.

Just found this channel, some of the best comedy I have seen in ages.
Peter Andre is a good singer ... can you imagine trying to sing in tune with someone so out of tune next to you ( and that you care for) and i would assume playing through your ear monitor too... i feel for peter here!
It's basically the standard of any drunk person at karaoke. Which is fine for drunken karaoke, but less good for televised performance for charity.

I love that you brought Ellie on with you! Seeing you both react together definitely added to the video and you should totally bring her back sometimes. I laughed so hard.
