I happened to have a front door and a back in my living room exactly 14 feet apart. That was perfect for my Mexican mesh type hammock. I tied the ends of the hammock to 3" steel 90 degree angles from the hardware store. To set up the hammock I opened the door and slipped the steel angles in above the middle door hinge and closed the door.

It would be helpful if you could share what's the minimum size hook/anchor for use with a hammock.
