I LOVE the summer memory challenge! You're so awesome for creating and hosting that! Definitely going to sign up! We've struggled with sticking to memorization!
How do you encourage your struggling learners to keep reading over the summer? I wanted to do some kind of reward system for how many books they read or something to that effect? Open to any suggestions.
This sounds a lot like our summer school plans. Math, independent reading, creative writing and Bible reading. I try not to do more than 1.5-2 hours 4 days a week. We still need downtime and mom needs time to plan out next years work
Do your children participate in any library summer programs? That was of the many things I did with them during the summer. I did not homeschool my children but in the summer I taught them, went to VBS, field trips, and the library program. Thanks for sharing!!
You could use it that young my 2&3 year old have done it but there may be a few tasks that are too hard for them. I would maybe wait a year or two if it were me but if you want to start it now I think it’s totally possible
What’s the Facebook group name? I liked Adventures in Waffles...read with tissues, I usually just do Bible, Math, and Language Arts. I wasn’t planning on doing a read aloud but I might now. I also have quite a few activities that I got from KHSE for the summer the kids can get into. We also are camping and other vacation fun along with VBS and Science Day Camp at Heart of America. -Micaela King
We usually do memorization during the year, but new baby threw us off and we completely dropped it this past year. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Summer memorization sounds great!

Yes we try all year round but I often times get thrown off so I love refocusing on it during the summer.
Have one on homeschool coop groups and how to fit in lol
That would be a good one.
Have you done a flip through of Home Defense? I was thinking of buying it, but I wanted to see how the lessons were first.
I have not I may need to do that.
