I haven't lived in Boston in 25 years.. My memory still remembers the smells of the subway and screech of the wheels.. I can still smell and hear it as I write this.. Taking the Blue Line to Revere Beach, Red Line to Cambridge, Green Line into Kenmore Sq all when a little boy.. Great video, thnx for the post
Good evening. Its nice to see the subway painted in the colour of the line. It makes it very easy to identify and travelling is hopefully alot less stressful
Welcome back to Boston!!! Nice to see you're in my home city!!! Red line is getting and overhaul with new trains as well. I was able to ride the new one last month.
Thank you for this video! I was explaining to my 4 year old son how I took the train in Boston. He loved this! Walking down to the stop, the doors closing and going through all the stops! Thanks again!❤
I have been to Boston a couple times several years ago. I don’t think we took the subway. I loved visiting all the history in Boston!! Thanks again for a great video.
Man, I miss this. I spent the month of May in Malden and I got very good memories. The Orange Line was almost like a home. How nice to see the Encore again my friends took us there and we had a great lunch! Thanks for sharing!
The subway is clean and the announcements are audible. 👍 13:23 I know there's an Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, but good to know there's one in Boston also! This was a smooth subway ride, and there are some scenic views. 😃 Thank you for sharing, AK! 🤗
Thank you --- this was an interesting look at parts of Boston as the train went past. I was impressed with the clarity of the announcements; it would be difficult to get lost on this route.
Very nice video of the Subway in Boston! I actually wanted to visit there in the future. Boston seems cool... Also* I love how you shoot all of your content with your phone now! You inspired me to do this same method in the future, it's much easier. I love trains, great video my friend!
Greetings from the Czech Republic. Very nice shots. I remember riding this subway. When I was in Boston for an English language course. Thanks a lot for the video. Cuba. D. 🙋♂️
Ah, 0:30 prompts fond memories. The exquisite odor d'urone of the Boston Subway. When ActionKid gets more sophisticated in his productions, he'll include OdorRama cards.
Anyone here remember the Scollay Square station? Now its called Government Center. They levelled one of Boston's most interesting neighborhoods for the concrete desert that stands there today. I guess that's progress.
They're currently redeveloping that 'wasteland' effect of Government Center. The city of Boston was trying to sell it years ago because of the potential land value to split it up.
Have been enjoying your T trips. Used to live in Jamaica Plan and used the Orange Line in particular as I could easily walk to Forest Hills, the opposite direction of this trip . Signs and information about where you are much clearer than they used to be.
Wow 😮 Nice New Subway cars, juxtaposed to the outdoor or outside view of Massachusetts which is pretty old industrial gritty looking, nice short ride. Well AK... You must be exhausted from your schedule of everyday streaming walking it must have felt good to not have to speak enjoy your rest!
Each city / town looks different. He left "Boston" (proper) once hitting Wellington station. That's in the City of Medford, Mass. From Bunker Hill Community College to Sullivan that is all residual Big Dig elevated Northeast corridor that is yet to be fully re-developed.
The Orange Line got all new CRRC 1400 trains bc of the signal upgrade. Just like the (7) train and all the other lines that use CBTC in NYC, the orange needed all new trains for that new signal system. So unfortunately that means they had to retire the old Hawker Siddeley 1200 trains recently. But the CRRCs are REALLY NICE tho! It’s too bad the shipment has been slow from Springfield.
Hey actionkid how did you like the newer orange line trains ? Is it a much smoother and cleaner ride than some of the older models you rode the last time you were in Boston?
Now in 2023 September-October trains bypass Haymarket so we have to wait for commuter line and it WAS NOT FUN we didn’t have a bus stop near so we had to walk and it took 1 HOUR to get to North station
When I was younger I used to ride the subways from one end to another for fun and it never got old 😂
Very cool!
I did the same thing on the T. The cars were much better then.
I actually did the same thing. I got off and on every single station on the T.
Same here in Atlanta I even got some sleep sometimes before I had to be at work
Samee

You’re welcome, the new cars are a great improvement for Boston’s Subway.

Oh wow, as soonest I saw that building, I thought, "looks like Las Vegas", so I was right and I didn't know that! And that's a beautiful building!
Yes it was! Thanks for watching
Technically, it's in Everett, not Boston.
Thank you --- this was an interesting look at parts of Boston as the train went past. I was impressed with the clarity of the announcements; it would be difficult to get lost on this route.
Glad you enjoyed it! I really enjoy the new trains

Yes, you should visit when you get a chance!
Kenneth, thanks for sharing this slice of life in Boston. I’m proud of my city.
Glad you enjoyed it! Boston’s subway is very efficient.

Wow, this orange line is much better than I remember it 39 years ago.
It's brand new.
Where are you from?
It’s only recently they replaced all the trains with new cars.
@@ActionKid yea they changed out the Hawker Siddeleys to CRRC 1400 series trains bc of the signal upgrade
I wish I saw you when you filmed this. I like when you come to Boston. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video! Like the new trains in the MBTA. They are really pleasant to see.
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
I love these orange line trains. Cool video BTW! 👍

I also remember the bygone days of Everett and Sullivan Stations.

Nice the trains there are beautiful 🔥
It's about time they got new trains.
A beautiful subway station, reminds me of Toronto's a lot.
It really does!
Wow!!!!! Action Kid I really enjoyed this video and especially the train ride!!! Thank you!!! Michael New York. 😊😊😊. Merry Christmas!!!
Have been enjoying your T trips. Used to live in Jamaica Plan and used the Orange Line in particular as I could easily walk to Forest Hills, the opposite direction of this trip . Signs and information about where you are much clearer than they used to be.
Of course I mean Jamaica Plain!
That was a nice ride! And nice train too!

I wish DC's subway had those tall gates like that.
It would help with the gate jumpers and fare evasion.
Wonderful trip ❤️

I don't think the signal upgrade and the new cars are related. The 1200s were going on 50 years and long overdue for replacement.
@@andrew_rayit was both
It looks so clean and nice 😅
What's with all the beeping while the doors are open?
The t in Boston is nicer than those trains in nyc, another awesome ak video
I like it , it’s great
Sounds like someone snuck in the gate behind you!
Seems pretty safe.
Malden Center has a nice, modern looking downtown area.
In my hometown
Holy crap, your right near me!
New trains since the last time I was in Boston.
Nice audible announcements.
nicer than new york subway
Looks like a cleaner and quieter version of nyc
Is that a airport observation tower at 13:14?
thanks or the tripi to Boston AK i hope you have fun

Community college, where they filmed parts of Good Will Hunting.
No way he’s going to Malden Center. That’s cool.
Good
ActionKid wears heels? 🤫😁
4:30 Approaching, Haymarket.
Were your hands not tired holding up the phone the entire time?
Nice train ride (haven't been to Boston since 11/05), not a very good video though.
❤❤❤
The T is a little better than the MTA.
🤔💭OMG..
So.... Now AK is in Boston 🙄?!
Why the ? He is in Boston!
Nice! I didn't had time to watch the video and confirm myself 😅but okay now!
I’m surprised the video isn’t 4 hours long 🤭/j
❤️🗽❤️🚇👍
The future of US subways...decrepit stations and track with cheap chinese made rolling stock.
1st
If you want to see how its really ridden, search “Miles In Transit Orange Line” and have fun with that.
