You're the most caring man on earth."- Castiel. This shows how well he knew Dean because like you said, everything that Dean did was for Sam, his little brother, his FAMILY. Dean is so selfless and loving when it comes to people he cares about. He's such an amazing person and deserves so much more than he got.
And the one time he won he still let Sam have the best place to sleep.

Is it just me who thinks that their Christmas is kind of sad but also really sweet and probably more meaningful than Christmas' we have today?
Me, cause Christmas for us is opening presents basically but theirs r more about 2 brothers hanging out and watching football and it does seem more meaningful than what I think everyone does on Christmas today.

Btw fun fact: the eggnog in the Christmas scene didn’t actually have alcohol in it. Jared actually added it for Jensen’s reaction. So the smile on Sam’s face when Dean drinks it isn’t Sam. It’s Jared being Jared.

I just started watching for the first time. I haven't encountered Dean's pie fixation but I concur with it. Pie is the best. Cake is what you have to eat at a coworker's birthday party, cake is Wall Street, fancy, but pie is steadfast, hard working, middle America. PIE!
I love that no matter how bad the show got (though I personally thought a few of the newer seasons were good), Sam and Dean’s sinking dynamic literally NEVER faltered. Honestly I think it’s the most well done aspect of the show.
