I think it's great! That way all the hubbub has died down and you can decide if you like it for the merit of the show rather than the social pressure surrounding it.
Literally just did this with Stranger Things. When it first came out I didn't want to watch it because everyone kept telling me to do so. However, I just started the series a few days ago (despite all the spoilers) and I really like it. It's still popular though.

Bit tone deaf when there's a cost of living crisis and the highest poverty levels in recent history in this country right now

I’m trying to fall asleep but became genuinely interested in what you were saying about how when multiple people tell you to watch a certain thing that it makes you not want to watch it, I’m the same way lol my sis was asking me yesterday if I’d watched making a murderer which has been out for years and I’m like how do I explain this, why I chose not to watch it at the time?! 🤣 plus sooo many people were talking about it at the time that I already heard the outcome.
