For some background, I’ve been playing NHL and 2K for well over a decade specifically franchise modes, I recently played Madden for the first time and realized I’m a bit of a natural lol and I was able to confidently play on all pro after a few games of learning. Now I’m trying to get into franchise mode. So far in the video it’s helping a lot. Thank u!

if you are just simming the game and not watching I do not know what the best settings are. I of course sim games but I do not have settings established strictly for that. I always refer people to Operation Sports forums because there are a lot of good people over there at really dive into that stuff!

Most beginners guides I've seen have this assumption that people understand what the hell is going on and just talk about recent changes. Keep in mind that Australian football has all the strategic nuance of a kick to the nuts in comparison 😂 Cheers for the EXCELLENT video bro, just don't tell my mates I think Aussie Rules is basic af compared to NFL 😜
there is technically a coach mode under main menu settings that will make the CPU take over for you if you snap the ball and don't touch any buttons. I don't know how effective it is but its available for you to use.
At the end of the weekly strategy where you can do the mini games there is a menu to the left that says start training. Click on that and it will run the practice for you

Thanks for this. Watched through about half. I’ll have to get to the rest later. Not sure if you’re covering it, but how do you switch the controller select to middle to watch a game? I’ve started a 32 team user league and it doesn’t seem to let me choose this option.
Unfortunately you can not move the select to the middle. In order to watch a game you need to start the game, go to super sim, change speed to slow, sim to end
If you go to retire character and then create new character you can check to see if it lets you by clicking on the same team again. If it doesn’t just back out and you will still be the coach

Progressive fatigue off and auto subs set up with reputable slider set Fatigue also set Don’t know if this will go same in season but it does not sub back in during preseason so far About 8?games into first week I decided to play it on iout and tweak sliders til opening night If fatigue is completely unfixable and anyone knows let me know Babi need to proceed.
Unfortunately you can only choose it in game menu so my best advice is to use a book that has a lot of the formations in a default book and then set formation subs for that. It will carry over to the playbook you choose. I did that last year for the Texans franchise

Do your strategies stay what you set them to even if you don't do the minigames, and sim them? I find a lot of them really frustrating and I really just like to sim everything, but that one gives you the pop up asking if you want to sim strategy, making me think it gets overriden. Thoughts?
when you go into weekly strategy it will auto pick for you and whatever it chooses for that week will be what is given to the team if you sim it. It does change from week to week and you can't set it to be the same automatically.
When you are starting a franchise you get to a screen right away that lets you choose the top section says things like start today and then there is one below that for offline
Brother, I have a problem with playing the first season, the end of the first season, and the playoffs. I see that my main team does not play with me, even though I have them in the starting lineup.
I know you do a majority of CPU vs CPU simulation. I know that’s not the case in Franchise mode and you can’t see other teams play. How do you play your games in that case? Or is it mainly simulation heavy?
It’s simulation for the rest of the teams. I wish I had the time or a way to see more of the games but for time purposes I just sim any game outside of the ones I record
Is head coach firing broken? I got fired as a head coach and recieved no offers. Even if I have a few winning season and then a bad one. I'll get fired and receive no offers and forced to retire.
About to make a offline league with a updated community file now that free agency has started. If I sim the entire 1st season and force win the entire schedule the way it played out irl, with XP sliders turned off no one will go up or down in overall right? So that way I can get it to the 2024 draft

Hey man. Very nice video. I’m playing madden 24 for two days now and I’m having a little crisis and I hope you can help me. Madden 23 was my first madden and I always was a fifa career mode player who only played for stats against cpu so I did that also in madden 23 and it was much fun and I played over 10 years of career without having any problems. But now I played my first falcons season in madden 24 and this endurance display of the players is making me crazy. One big run with ridder and he had like 10% all the rest of the season. I don’t know how he get back 100%. I’ve seen in the video it has to do something with auto subs but that’s only when players are substituted. Also the bigger problem players like pitts and London weren’t playing more than 2 plays a game and I don’t know why ? Maybe your having an idea to help me. Thank you
Madden implemented “progressive fatigue” a couple titles ago and routinely breaks it with certain updates so the best way to avoid any issues from this is by going to your settings menu and turning off progressive fatigue for good. Another way to combat this if you want to keep it on for realism purposes is to make sure you are adjusting the practice intensity for your players. You can do that in the weekly strategy menu by changing them from full pads to half pads. Make sure it’s set to both and not just starters as well.
Video was a huge help and I watched the entire thing but is there a way to just keep my roster exactly how it currently is in real life even after completing my first season? I know I can start the season with the real life NFL roster but I also want to keep it that way without worrying about having to pay attention to all the trading and drafting process. 🙏
Unfortunately there is not. If you set things to simple and auto everything the CPU will decide who to resign and also will probably low ball a few players for resigning. The bare minimum would be resigning everything manually and maybe handling player upgrades yourself. The cpu will not trade for you from what I have seen. Thank you for checking it out!
The game will sub the players out after the first quarter in week 1 and then it moves back a quarter for the other games. Your best bet is to either change your whole depth chart before the game or do it in game when you decide to sub out. Unfortunately that is the only way

It’s only at the beginning of preseason. If you are referring to weekly training then that would be under settings and you would need to make sure that weekly strategy and manage practice reps is set to manual

I bought game yesterday for £14 and I feel like I wasted money anyway 😆 on all madden I’m getting absolutely destroyed but on all pro I beat buffalo bills 1st game like 48-7 with Josh Allen throwing 6 INT and same happens next game with Dak Prescott throwing 5 INT , i mean come on 😆
It’s funny how much more shit there was to do in madden 04-11 and how easy it was too do it all and make ur way thru the screen and this game has none of those features but is somehow 100% more confusing and slow

End of first quarter the starters go out Their day is over. That’s preseason now Don’t know if this persists into season

In the team scheme menu, how do I chose my custom playbook?
So I can do formation subs with my custom play book.
Unfortunately you can only choose it in game menu so my best advice is to use a book that has a lot of the formations in a default book and then set formation subs for that. It will carry over to the playbook you choose. I did that last year for the Texans franchise

They have really never worked tbh. I’d make sure coach firing is off and just make it up as you go if you think you need to switch teams

New to Madden here. Just wondering of theres a way to change my preseason line up. Its starting players i dont want starting haha
The game will sub the players out after the first quarter in week 1 and then it moves back a quarter for the other games. Your best bet is to either change your whole depth chart before the game or do it in game when you decide to sub out. Unfortunately that is the only way
hey, i’m trying to be able to just sim to this years super bowl at the starting point and it’s not showing me an option. is there something i can do to fix it?
Madden stopped updating the start now option every week and do it very sporadically now
When im in franchise mode during the free agent period, it doesnt let me sign free agents :( anyway i can fix this?
I’ve only seen that when I have free agency or signing players set to auto in settings
can you only pick up free agents if you’re a coach…? i’m a player on franchise and it doesn’t give me any option to do that

I don’t see training camp in my franchise, why is that?
It’s only at the beginning of preseason. If you are referring to weekly training then that would be under settings and you would need to make sure that weekly strategy and manage practice reps is set to manual
How do I play online with RANDOM people, can I do it if I made my team from use REAL LIFE ACTIVE NFL ROSTER, and I am NOT a coach but a wide receiver?I am also on current gen but am playing on a ps4 lol

Is there anything I can do to make playing this more exciting and competitive? I bought game yesterday for £14 and I feel like I wasted money anyway 😆 on all madden I’m getting absolutely destroyed but on all pro I beat buffalo bills 1st game like 48-7 with Josh Allen throwing 6 INT and same happens next game with Dak Prescott throwing 5 INT , i mean come on 😆

It’s funny how much more shit there was to do in madden 04-11 and how easy it was too do it all and make ur way thru the screen and this game has none of those features but is somehow 100% more confusing and slow
