SwellPro fixed the battery replacement issue in the new Splashdrone 4 -- the batteries on that drone are in their own compartment, and replacing them doesn't affect the watertight integrity of the main mechanism.

Really enjoyed this and good review. I have a p4 with gannet X release and love it but baits are very small in the UK. Bit of a waste of time and the weather sucks (as you probably know) 👍🦈

Great review :) one thing the Gannet does have circular match markings on the props and motors for prop install positions.

Have a gannet and completely not water proof. sent back after months was returned with cloudy camera and told not to get it wet.

Would love to See a comparison against the Cuta copter ex1 or trident. Have not been able to find anything that compares the two. Almost as if Gannet doesn't want to compare the two. The Cuta outclasses the Gannet in every aspect, so much so Gannet is now switching to the Cuta flight controller.

if you fly your splash drone on sand make SURE you fully wash and clean as sand will KILL THE motors

You think it’s worth using a water proof vs regular drone surf fishing. I’m looking into trying my hand at surf fish for Halibut in Alaska but my thought process is if it goes down it’s gone anyway due to currant and waves.

    • @loganbentley2337

My dad and I thought the same thing when we bought our mavic pro so we didn't get the waterproof, but we now want to sell it a d buy a gannet for bigger payload carrying and the new gannet light is fully waterproof with a self righting system and can take off in water so it depends but a normal one is as good as gone anyway

    • @hookedonalaska7004
      @hookedonalaska7004 3 года назад

Ya they have the jumbo blades definitely worth having a drone you can haul close to a pound with. Up here in Alaska we use 10 oz sinkers to hold bottom against our ripping tides. If I drop my drone in the ocean up here in Alaska it’s a goner 100%. That keeps goodness for insurance 😂

Nice review! But according to my understanding the Gannett is supposed to be the better fishing drone based on Gannet using all other fishing drone issues and challenges to create the perfect fishing drone, leading me to believe any type of failure no matter the size and complexity is an embarrassment to Gannett as they are creating success against other brands challenges and issues!

Hi there I actually own both drones and both have there pros and cons, the gannet will lift a ton more and I feel will Handel stronger winds but I find the splashdrone has the far better camera and drop system, and I find that the splashdrone is locked in alot better in saying that the gannet is new to the market and the next models will be very good

How do we purchase a Swell Pro? Their webpage doesnt take Credit Cards (8/31/23) and the Chinese Ph No. is disconnected.
Did they go out of business? Does anyone have a link to purchase the Swell Pro?

My friend bought the gannet and regretted it exceptionally because it was a failure, the image would inexplicably disconnect and the signal was often lost. Not friendly to the first users who wanted to try it. In contrast, the splash would be more mature both in terms of the market and technology, but I also didn't like the way it changed batteries.

The only thing worse than splash4, is the Swellpro company itself. Think I’m kidding, go ahead and order one. You’ve been warned. Splash4 performs even less than Splash3 and the customer support has been the worst customer support experience of my entire life. I’ve had 50 emails back-and-forth with them and they just refuse to let me return it. They will not send a return shipping label like they claim they will. I dare you to go find out for yourself.

Thanks for the impressions of Your experience and of the astonishing nature You occupied...
I would give You athumb up for the nice footage, but in the time of oecological mismanagement and mindless behavior of the human in face of big big environmental problems, beside sad facts as food wadte and (pah, 3rd world only) hunger, finally the point of my feedback: just pouring 2 liters of milk in the sand is so respectless, to the cow that produced it, and a slap in the face of every children starving having NOT that milk You just throw ("videonicely") away! What a fun! Yeah! ...
Such little things will change our dying planet.
