I listened to PR’s MW answer and somehow in my point of view, she deserved that crown. Cat’s answer though did not create an impact as it was almost the same as her MWP answer. Cat was a lady to beat that time and im pretty sure MWO and pageant enthusiast might have already seen her national crowning and already spotted the similarity of her answer. What happened though opens a greater opportunity for Cat - being crowned and hailed as the queen of the universe, considered as one of the iconic queen from her preparations, the costume, lava walk and the lava gown and getting a million followers in ig just in one day. Enough of this sour-graping comments to Stephanie, we should be thankful to her and MW. Had it not happen, we could not have our 4th Miss U crown! And that ladies and gentlemen, is the silver-lining in that situation!

They only care about pageant fan countries like South Africa ,Thailand , Vietnam , Philippines and Indonesia , they do not even bother to see efforts of small countries . Now they see that Nepal is also becoming a fan of Miss Universe , they have started favourite Nepal too . All these countries except Philippines were not even talked about at Miss Universe . But now it's like IMG reserves a spot in their top 20 for these countries .

Miss World is just a very complicated pageant, so many mini competition under one competition. I mean some candidates become finalists because of their advocacy. No advocacy is above any advocacy. All advocacies should be equal. Add to that the talent, sports, model of the world, dances of the world, national costume , the results not taken into importance.. then the final speech which is predictable.. these are just my thoughts. I wish the final results are based on the cumulative scores. I see winners not even excelling on the above.
She will always be the shadow of Catriona Gray because we all know, Catriona is the true winner. If she deserved the MW 2016 crown, no one will ask about Catriona. The fact that people still talk about Catriona when talking to her about her MW win, it means that Catriona is more important than her actually. Obviously, Catriona is the real winner because Catriona is more important in the conversation about MW 2016.

Some fans just don't want to let things like this go do they? Had Catriona Gray won Miss World 2016, I don't think the Philippines would've had a sixth consecutive year with a top-tier Big Four international beauty pageant title in 2018 including a potential Miss Universe three-peat with South Africa.
I also say that Stephanie del Valle would've thrown her name in the Miss Universe Puerto Rico hat and try to be their MU 2018 bet.
Finally, let's also talk about Venezuela's Diana Croce and Chile's Antonia Figueroa who were unplaced in Miss World 2016, but found success in other pageants. Croce was second runner-up in Miss International 2017 and Figueroa had a top 12 finish in Miss Earth 2018.
Figueroa also represented Chile in Miss Universe 2021, but was unplaced.

I’m sure that thankful as she is for being given the title, Stephanie has a lot of unspoken resentment toward Julia for putting her in such a bad position. She would have appreciated knowing she won fair & square, not via the way the “judging” was handled. Poor girl.

It’s true that she’s trying to make it sound that way. Cooking with Julia has lost all appeal and public respect that it has resorted to attempting to bring down other pageants (and even claiming to be part of its sparkle, like what Julia did after Catriona got the Miss Universe crown) just to bring itself back up.
