Johanna Basford (she’s from Scotland) created the genre herself. “Secret Garden” was the first adult coloring book that was published (2013). My favorite illustrator is Millie Marotta (she’s from Wales). I have a few of Marotta’s books and I also have “Secret Garden.”

You don’t use crayons with those coloring books! The whole point is that this is adult coloring! You use colored pencils, alchohol or water markers, watercolor pencils, etc., not a box ‘o 24 colors! Even crayola makes colored pencils (such as they are) for these coloring books!

those are beautiful. They should have that in every nursing homes.
Just bought me some of these. I miss coloring. So glad they have these now. I have insomnia too. So hopefully it will help with that. :)
