thank you for another great video, love the format, this is great. Its hilarious about 6.5bb opens, I wonder if someone good implemented such wild strategy how people would deal with it. Players play super robotic now and when they hit deviation they struggle to react even close to optimal. Especially in pool of large player base, like how good is limp 3b in large pool where people don't know your strategy? how about flop overbet on some boards against bb like KQx, or 1bb cbet on 876 and then when called on blank turn 2x pot bet? If you are not playing observant players you can get away with some crazy strategies.
Hi Yolan, you have the best poker content on the web so thank you for this. One question, why are you using the smaller 3b size oop, eg, with AK vs a 2bb open and call on the button you make it 10bb while gto sizing would be something like 12/13? I see a lot of people on GG using this smaller sizing so perhaps it's something to do with rake structure?
Hey mate. Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate and it motivates me to do other videos ! So about the sizing : - people have huge timing tells vs calling a 3Bet. Smaller sizing makes them more clear. - People will do caricatural mistakes over and over that I can anticipate, which increase my EV. The part who is going to call more is typically the lower pp and Axs , hands which can fold a lot flop - you loose less when you get 4bet - I know postlfop dev with this sizing and most people don’t
Thank you very much for the in depth reply. 1. I have not being paying enough attention to preflop timings although I pay a lot of attention post this is something I will work on. 2. Caricatural! Fantastic English, my French gf certainly does not know this word haha. Yep I can see the benefit of keeping lower EV hands in especially when people are playing 3bet pots quite badly/passively. 3. Yep and since people are under 4betting and they're 4b frequencies probably don't change vs this sizing this is another good takeaway. (Lose not loose btw :)) Thanks again for great reply and best of luck. @@YolanCohenPoker
There are quite a few GG crushers at 25NL and 50NL showing up from time to time opening 6-7BB. I haven't been finding them too difficult to deal with. and I think you still 3B them with a standard range, but it seems the player pool is not dealing with it well in general.
Min 58:45 it s not better a check range strat ? Or mix some freq as i think gto wizard will do, i m not sure but it s like a board where i think solver would check most of the time , against humans i think first exploit for betting high frequ is they don t have a balanced pre flop calling range with low pockpairs and so it s fine to bet they don t have anymore set advantage as solvers as . 2 factor for bet higher freq of solver is that it s unusually they check raise proprly and enough Against a bet range...solver on these boards starting be crazy raising a lot ahaha but it s still important to understand that regs of nl 200 still has high freq of raising here so for my opinion is not the best EV line for our range to just betting range , obv it s profittable but not the best scenario we can apply . So i would like to know for maximize ev if is not better a mix strategy , with higher freq as solver, Where i want to bet maybe half / or 3/4 for take max value Against a weak range of not set advtanage, bluffing especcialy hands with strong equity that want bet call and less hands like these one (109s) beacuse if they are passive obv i want bet range and ev of this hand too would be really High but Against nl 200 regulars i espect too much equity deny... so i i think i can realize much better ev/ equity on the check line , putting aggrection on turns more usually capped range or check rasing turn where can be most profittable. of course balacing the bet flop with bluffs that do not be sad to bet fold for examlle KQ KJ jQ region ecc. Be careful, you can't use the charts or anything while playing on GG, they random check and ban accounts based on that. It's against the rules. Use the phone or other device if you really want to take a quick look. 38:09 A763, what do you think of just going standard bet 75% turn shove river with KQ? Blocking his best Ax, i would imagine this spot looks underbluffed especially as Big blind 3bettor. And he has some snap folds like 65, 55,44, maybe a4/a5s , 89s. Dont even see AJ/ATs being too happy with a call here
I agree with you but I will rather choose 50% pot on the turn to generate a higher calling turn/fold proportion. I bluff the lower bw region + one paire here , thqt why i didnt put KQ in the bigger sizing

I totally agree, this hand was a big mistake. Even if it's tough to accept them , this is normal and happen sometimes, this is one of my biggest mental leak but it also what makes me better and better
31:24 Yolan I sometimes find it hard to run bluffs on these boards that have trips on them. I think they are overcalled by any pocket pair including underpairs to the board, because the opponent has a full house. Yeah they are capped, but I don't think they fold many pairs that they should fold in GTO. Your thoughts?
You re talking about 887? It's important to play with generalisations , but be careful not being too caricatural. All situations are different and you play vs sb here who has a weak range. + you have timing infos and turn x info.
50:10 assuming he calls every pocket pair vs 10% on the flop (aq hand), isnt it easy to just click bet with way too many 33/44/55/66? Meaning we should at least call turn, expecting a good amount of river give ups on such a board
I disagree : - villain will not call PP all the time here preflop - his execution timing is more oriented toward Jx , PP and bluffs in general takes more times in general. - pps are diluted between too many lines - Xback , fold pre, fold flop, bet 33p etc , while Jx is way more often in the call flop and big sizing turn. I will call a set but not a pp here, I will donk jam when I hit
I think its not a serious comment but I will still answer , - go on monker solver - node all position ranges not in the pot - create a BTN 3b std range and an open for this 6.5x sizing - create a decent CO open 6.5x Now check the EV of calling pre vs my 3B at this SPR, if the EV is minus 0, argue on populations tendencies postflop who can make this call over 0EV. Have done enough preflop to know that yes you can win extra EV by opening this sizing but calling 86s pre is just a terrible mistake
How can that 6.5bb open guy be a bot? If he is then he is 100% a losing one. Most people are gonna 3B that guy way tighter and he doesn't seem to be folding any hand pre...
40:00 looks like a call....so much missed hands, also recognize that this player was very aggressive before....looks like he will fire with complete range....all overcards and Ax hands missed......easy call for me after you checked F......what do you think about my read? :D :D gl gl
Yes for the tank amount he had, people in general even in HS are not balanced and tricky enough when they choose their sizing. Vs a more std sizing its a super tough scenario, I will still call but in this pool the fold is something you can often consider preflop
