Hello brother, when I was doing body back on the early 90's ,when the body was stripped to bare metal I spray a coat of epoxy primer and them apply the body filler and worked the filler straight and then apply another coat of epoxy primer to sandwich the body filler that way the body filler was protected from moisture. That was then now I believe they use more improve products Good job on the body Keep those videos coming. Have a blessed day
You are absolutely right! New products are better, fillers are supposed to go directly to metal, even if you spray with epoxy you would have to sand back to metal to apply filler! Double work! If you are going to take a long time then I would do epoxy primer! Now days epoxy primers are rust inhibitors. Also you can filler over epoxy primer but only have 7-8 days before you have to sand to metal to apply filler again. Thanks for the comment and the support.
