Oh God, I live in Japan and got into snowboarding for real from this season, but I just got new dream to fulfil. Beautiful. Thanks guys and safe sliding!
Well done, I've been up there too, such good memories. So worth it! We even boarded into the crater, 2min down and 25min back out, but worth it also :D
@@angusbruce6475 well no issues when I was there. Whatever you do, go with a guide! There's some sketchy terrain traps you don't want to catch an avalanche in
Super stoked you made the summit this year Kevin... and you got to rep the SPC beanie yourself 🤙 Brought back so many feelings and emotions from my summit last year. Enjoy the rest of your trip guys 🙌
U inspired me to get my first snowboard and gear I’ve done it a few time b4 and I found out it was just natural to me now I have my own board and gear and Friday I’m heading up to a resort and snowboarding man thank you
This year has actually been oretty bad for Japan. There isn't enough snow at most of the resorts. I am glad to see that you found one that has managed to barely escape that. You made the most out of it, and thats good.
Yo make sure TJ doesn’t lose his passport again 😂 Been watching you guys killing it since I started snowboarding a few seasons ago and I’m glad to see how far your channel has come! We don’t get very many powder days here in the Montreal area so I live through you guys 🤙🏼
Crazy how there’s no snow in Japan this year ! You still manage to get decent powder but it’s not japownuary this year ! Hope you still have a great trip !
Huge thanks for the sharing of the great view on top, though I likely won't make it to see it personally in my life, it does give me incentive to try to experience the powder Japan has to offer.
I was really stoked on the snow shoes! Easier for hiking in variable terrain compared to the split board. I'm going to look into buying a pair in Whistler.
@@SnowboardProCamp can u use the snow shoes with your snowboard boots or do u have to use normal hiking Boots extra for that? Asking because i just wonder about the extra weight then🤔
Have you ever been in Grandvalira, Andorra? It has really good slopes and snowpark. You should go there! 🤜 I really like your begginer videos, keep doing! thank u!! 🙋🏻
Snowboarders are really good once they get over the initial hump of learning. I did my first double black this season and it is only my second year💪 I believe in you brother!
That's awesome guys! Very impressive and wonderful experience. Which path did you take to hit the summit guys? I'll be in Niseko with my friend next week so we'll think to try that! Hope we'll meet you somewhere! Thanks for sharing and regards from Spain!
As always - awesome video, thank you for bringing some snow (virtual tho) to snowless (this year) Russia! So did you brought your own snow shoes or rent 'em? And also - how long does it took you to hike and to ride down? Thanks again!
Would you pick snowshoeing over splitboarding ? I haven’t gotten into splitboarding because of the investment but I didn’t know it was as possible with just snowshoeing... or are there limits? Sorry for all the questions just very curious
This is awesome. So much better than the North Carolina, we were carvin it up in the pouring rain this weekend. Just uploaded my first video! I let the GoPro app do most of the work. I couldn’t get the music I want in it because it’s copy protected. Any tips on how I should put the songs I want in?
Do you guys have these routes on Strava? I'll be in Japan in less than a month and would love to do this hike/shred session. Also, did you rent the showshoes or bring them?
Kevin congrats for making it all the way up! Who was with you at the very end? Couldn’t tell if it was Chris or not since the dude was in full camo and mask.
2:06 that's the edibles kicking in.
When the shrooms hit
:) lol
7:23 when the second brownie kicks in
this was therapeutic. would love to see some of the food you guys eat in japan!
I agree
This was absolutely gorgeous and probably a life changing ride
Kev you made it... The crater is incredible. KEV the man
This looks like an incredible journey, I'd love to do Japan sometime.
Oh man! Looks like a beautiful hike. Summited my first mountain last summer. Was totally worth it.
Have a good trip guys!
Loved the chill vibe of this video + that sunset
Definitely on my bucket list. Thanks for the amazing footage!
Thanks! Definitely go Japan is amazing!
Awesome hike Kevin, the views at the summit were amazing.
Thanks Steve! Those views from the top were crazy!
This looks soo relaxing, must be one of the Japanese healing forests. Great job guys, must have been a hard hike.
Oliver Ptak its amazing out there. I def recomend
Awesome shots, the music was on point and the view looks amazing.
Oh God, I live in Japan and got into snowboarding for real from this season, but I just got new dream to fulfil. Beautiful. Thanks guys and safe sliding!
It was a good day!
This year there is little snow
Mt. Yotei is still wonderful scenery
Thanks for the fun videos!

How safe is snowboarding down into the crater? Id be keen on doing this whole hike. Planning on going to japan in February

So happy for you Kevin! Legend!
Epic hike and weather man. The ride down looks all time. Stoked to see more edits. 🤙🏼
awesome edit and awesome hike. so worth the effort
that was breathtaking 😍
Nice hike! Would’ve loved to shred with u guys and take some quick cinematic drone shots on the crater 🚀
Those tree shots omg 🙏 heaven

Fair play to you lads that looked hard no pain no reward keep it going enjoying the vids
What time of the morning did you start your hike? And how long did it take to reach the top? 🙂
You guys inspire me❤
Can you tell me the video sound track?? So amazing. I love this song so so much.
Yes, yes. I need this soundtrack. Please give the artists name.
Looks amazing!
Epic adventure
Beautiful!
Hi Kevin, next time maybe you could try filming with insta 360 one X (or R). Mt. Yotei is really enormous.
Huge thanks for the sharing of the great view on top, though I likely won't make it to see it personally in my life, it does give me incentive to try to experience the powder Japan has to offer.
Would you mind doing a little review on your snowshoes? I am somewhat curious about them😁
Awesome ride, nice impressions, Japan is the dream🤙🏼

4:34 Chris' board looks see thru!
The view at 4:56 is unreal
The beauty of the mountains, they aren't just beautiful, they also offer you a great view 😍
Now that is what I call hiking.
Have you already done a video with some tips about backpacks and the best way to pack them and strap the snowboard to it?
Thanks for all your videos!
beautiful
What's the song name? Beautiful video.
What a nice view! I would have sat there for an hour just enjoying it ;D How long was the ride down?
It's a pity the 19/20 season had the worst snow in decades. We were there Feb 20, and there was hardly any depth of snow compared to our Feb 15 visit.
It’s amazing. Could you tell me what camera you used?
it was the gopro 8
wow amazing content! Im just a beginner but wish I was on this level.

you finally made it!!!!

We rented snow shoes. How long it takes depends on your fitness. Most summit in 5 hours avg
I wanna goto Japan now! Shred on dudes
What’s the name of the song? It’s awesome.
I think that has to be your best thumbnail to date Kev. Solid edit too I can’t wait till you hook up with the d’wcp homies, the stoke is high!!!
Thanks Adam! I'm looking forward to seeing those guys!
Amazing video. I wasn’t able to hike Yotei on my last trip. I hope to make it up someday. Are you guys gonna ride gate 11 (Mizuno No Sawa)?
Awesome! I’m currently in Niseko and this is so good. What do you recommend for Yotei, split board vs snowshoe?
Snowshoe! Already some good trails you can follow
Epic bro🤘🏂❤
Hi Kevin Japan looks awesome I notice you guys were using hiking poles do have any recommendations also for rucksacks many thanks clive .
good hiking poles that fit inside a bag, i.e. they split 3 ways. BCA, Leki, MSR all do them, theres others of course too.
So wild!
Would you pick snowshoeing over splitboarding ? I haven’t gotten into splitboarding because of the investment but I didn’t know it was as possible with just snowshoeing... or are there limits? Sorry for all the questions just very curious
I think snow shoeing is better when the snows not too deep and fresh. Snow shoes are perfect when the trail through the snow has already been made.
I didn’t get to watch the video but I know it’s gonna be good
Only just watching it now.
Seeing as everywhere is locked down. May as well 😞🥺
This year is my first time snowboarding 🏂
Ardy Fateh good luck!
Make sure you use a tailbone protector and wristguard, otherwise it's going to be painful.
Yo Kevin question for ya! Do your snowboarding boots fit with the snow shoes?
What is the lenght of the gopro pole your using and wich Angle mode are you using?
i love chris so much
I'll tell him!
limbsoup thanks so much! Ps he never told me 🙊

welcome to JAPANNNNN
How long did it take to walk up compared to how much time it took to ride down?
5 hours up and 30 minutes down.
Kevin congrats for making it all the way up! Who was with you at the very end? Couldn’t tell if it was Chris or not since the dude was in full camo and mask.
Wow man I'm at the base of Fuji rn would have been nice to hang with you guys
That is so sick! A volcano crater view. How many hours was the hike?
I think the hike took about 5 hours!
Epic for sure my dude omg

What we do for pow🤙🏻
What's the name of this instrumental?
Hey dude, do you have a link for the snow shoes?
Hope you have a fab week, looks amazing.
I think they rented them from the resort they are staying at, they were in the process during the live stream.
We just rented the snow shoes from Rhythm here in Niseko. I'll probably buy a set when I'm back in Whistler.
What GoPro stick do you use and what’s its length?
I'm not sure of the brand but it 40 inches long
Got the same one
Epic edit, arigato Kevin!
Arigato Neil!
So is it easier to climb and hike in those snow shoes or with a splitboard?
depends on the condition, I think on that type of day, snow shoes were the best option as there were good tracks to follow
Aww snow... in my place we used to have less than -20 few years ago, this year - no snow at all
Rokas B what
Can anyone tell me what camera he’s using? It’s so crisp!
latest go pro
Dude-it looks like you could go bones to bones with the ISS up there.
Good orca
Imagine looking on top of a volcano and seeing big bird
Yo your boy Casey Willax and the Overstoker Daly are heading to Niseko! You should all hook up for YouPowTube day.
What material do u use to film with ur cam? what is the perch?
Kevin! Make a video of snowboarding at desert!! Thought it will be cool video!
Is TJ on the Springbreak Snowcraft?
what happened to the split boards??
What is this beat???
YEEEEESIR. Japow baby
