Our next location is from another beach destination in Mexico that also doesn't get as much international love... any guesses where it will be?

We know La Paz isn't underrated by any means by people that have actually been there...We just mean it doesn't get as much international attention as Cabo, Cancún, Tulum, and Puerto Vallarta and has pretty beaches than all of those locations with arguably better cities/towns than some/most of them 😃 But hey that's just one guy's opinion- I have been wrong before 😜

Kinetic Kennons I can see through your videos that the beaches are gorgeous and you’re enjoying it more than Cancun. However, when you did the sea lion dive the other day- you both came out of the water freezing. That’s exactly why I LOVE the beaches on the Cancun (Yucatán) side. The water is warm and enjoyable to swim and snorkel in.

Is their a lot of violence and corrupt authority figure in La P
      az?

    •  5 лет назад +2

@@abelopez1156 I was impressed there was not, La Paz compared against some other similar cities is indeed pretty quiet. Locals tend to say it is insecure as the thiefs and stuff have grown a little but the city remains still a good and safe choice for visiting. Hope this helps!

I know this video is a year old but maybe someone else will see my comments and it will help them too. I got lucky and watched this while planning a trip to Cabo. I have been following you guys for over 2 years and I absolutely took your advice and switched reservations for half of the trip to spend it in La Paz. Best decision we could have made!
We got up at 3:45 to make it in line for Balandra, went with Carey dive center to snorkel with sea lions at Espiritu Santo, and even had huge shrimp tacos at Estadio!
Your videos made this trip so much better - thanks for coming back and making them again! I've never used so many exclamation points In a comment.. !

The vibe you feel about LPZ it's related to the fact it existed as a community and an actual town long before beach tourism exploded in all of Mexico coasts; even if tourism represents a big income for the city it's not still a firstly tourist-planned town, but in some way more community oriented. (glad you enjoyed)

Better go to la paz before it turns into cabowabo#2. There are lots of beaches in mexico that have that raw nature but like everything else once they se is profitable investors ruin it by making it tourist attraction and there goes the natural beauty of it.

As a Spanish teacher of 22 years who normally takes "official" trips with students to Costa Rica and Mexico (13 since 1999) with various Educational Tour groups, last year I did my first "off the books" tour with former students to just hang for 5-6 days I finally got back to Puerto Vallarta with 6 students for the first time since 2004. It was amazing and we had a ball (and I can understand your bias... it was my wife and I's second home when we taught in Mexico in the 90's). This video has made me look at La Paz for 2020. Do you have any info on airports and transportation issues? No rush, but your insight would be invaluable.
