Today we are reacting to the Aussie singer Tina Arena for the first time! This is the song Chains. Check it out and see what we thought. You might be surprised! 💜 Tonia’s Instagram: instagram.com/tonia_elkins?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Ay it's so cool you said she has Celine vibes . She performed this in front of Celine once and it's so heartwarming like, Tina is performing for one of her idols and singing her heart and soul out and you can see Celine is like is in awe right back. Big feels haha
Tina-wonderful beautiful Australian-she has earned her place in Australian rock and roll history-she was a child star-50 years later she is still bringing joy and happiness chill out Australian hearts-we absolutely love And adore China arena-a supernova burning star she will forever be❤❤❤
In my last posted I was using text to speech--it came out as China I meant to say Tina-tell me beautiful girl-is it true you grew up not far from me-like just down the road-in Tyler Street-Preston-Melbourne VIC Australia--thank you thank you-what a wonderful ambassador for Australia. We love you and we'll never forget you well done tiny Tina good on you!.
Was known as "little Tina" for years and she grew up about 5 streets from where I am now. Very successful in Europe and she lived/lives in France. She has a sound I describe as smooth.
She started on a show called young talent time They'd get kids to audition and only the best would get a spot and some fell by the way side I think she was about 5yrs old and they get mentored each week then had to do a show on TV Soon as they got to teenagers they had to leave the show part of the rules Most went onto being stars in the industry around the world Tina was one of the favourites as she was so tiny but had a hughe voice She very smart from memory she can speak about 7 languages fluently Tina use to sing in those countries languages and was a star spent most of her time in Europe France she loved Cheers 🦘🇦🇺👍
Tina is a wonderful singer, I don't know about the Celine style, but she definitely has a Melbourne accent, one any Aussie not from Melbourne would understand lol. I love her rendition of the 80's Foreigner song 'I Wanna Know What Love Is' even has some John Farnham doing backing on it. ' v=xPaEVaqHHPw '
Tina is a pocket dynamite of a singer. At the age of 7, she was selected to appear on Johnny Young's Young Talent Time show; where she became a fan favourite on this Australian talent show, performing regularly over the next nine years. Unfortunately, at the age of 16, she had to leave the show; her final performance in 1983 had the most viewers tuning in to watch her. After completing her Higher School Certificate, she signed a contract with Graffiti Records and released her debut single "Turn Up the Beat" in 1985. Due to her appreciation of Spanish, Italian and French songs, she eventually moved to Europe to continue her career; basing herself in France, as a singer-songwriter and record producer.
Hi 🤗 thank you so much for your reaction of Tina Arena. she started singing at the age of 5 and started television at 7 where she stayed for 9 years and then really started her carrer of singer. This woman has an exceptional talent ! it's for me the most beautiful voice in the world. she can make amazing grades! She's an Australian icon and it's this hit that made her famous around the world. She also made a lot of records in French. Can I offer you another version of "chains" please? there you will see her talent even better I think! Thank you so much ! ✨
Aussies were introduced to Tina when she appeared on "young talent time" as a young lass...way too many moons ago...mid 80s or earlier at a guess...the song is soooo...90s...but she is very close to Music royalty in Oz...great vid...
She does a beautiful version of Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel’s “Don’t Give Up” with Jeff Martin From The Tea Party (from Rockwiz), well worth checking out 😊
@@ToniaElkins she is a good singer. Really enjoyed the reaction thanks. I don’t really see the female artist of Australia get reacted to as much. But if you are looking I would suggest Vanessa amorosi natural women by Aretha Franklin..
@@thetruth-bc4cq We’ve reacted to her once actually. You’ll find it in my playlist if you’re interested. I just LOVE the Australian artists! They’re some of the best.
Such a rabbit hole of Aussie music for you to go into. Personally, I like Tina's live performance of this song better: "Fire Concert Australia February 2020 - Tina Arena"
One thing about Aussie singers they sing live if you can’t don’t bother step on that stage.. Tina is one of our best she as been singing since she was 5 she got her break in Young Talent Time. A variety show. And yeah no Madonna is not even close to being in Tina’s league.. sorry but nope.. 🧐😊🇦🇺
I wasn’t comparing their voices in that way. I was saying that madonnas the only other singer I can think of that does this with her voice. You misunderstood. And I’m well aware of the Aussie live performances.
@@ToniaElkins ok but that’s how it sound to me when you mention Madonna and I wasn’t having ago at you I was just saying like everyone else has said about singing live. Sorry if I sound that way I can be a bit direct at times don’t mean to be.. 🧐😊🇦🇺
@@aussiekat6379 It ok lol. I was just trying to kinda explain what I meant. Idk if everyone notices the same things as someone with a trained ear notices. Sorry if I came off as rude. Not my intention 💖

Hi! Yeah it was all these amazing Aussies that let me know about her! It’s ridiculous that the US music industry is so picky about what we see.
Aussie here, I bought many of Tina’s CDs. I still have them all.
Our Aussie legend!!!!

There’s a brilliant guitar solo that get you right through the heart

Ok cool, thanks for the suggestion!
Oh, Tonia, we have to educate you. 😊
You should have done the world music awards in 1996 I think. She sings and celine Dion is in the audience.
Sorry

You might want to check your recording levels. I'm hearing quite a bit of pc noise.
Madonna has nothing on Tina regarding vocal range
I wasn’t referring to vocal range.
Celine could not hold a candle to Tina!
Eyes of empty.
