This is very true,, I am a witness as I was working in a certain hospital which I won't reavel the name. I was just a secretary and I was on a night duty shift. I then saw a young lady struggling here and there as you all know how labour pains can make you run mad. I then call the nurse on duty to go help the client but she refused telling me that huyu mama bado ako mbali eti she's just pretending. I thank God coz that night we had few patients so I was not busy. I called the nurse more than 5tym and still she refused. Do you know when I saw the head of the innocent baby coming out I offered a hand of help for just using my own mind and the baby was out safely. That's when the nurse came quarreling her very badly,, mara do you know you can die mara matusi mingi sana. Later alimushona and she went home safely the following day. It's 15years by now and that lady still remembers me with the husband too. Infact they named their baby after me. I'm happy that I help a life of two pple. I'm so sorry for this young man haky,, #justice for him 😢😢

First things first, nobody is talking about the level of interview Kingori conducts, giving a listening ear without interjections ,tukuje sasa huku, this hospital has had numerous cases of maternal and child negligence.. I don't know why people still go despite that... Am sorry Kevin and all the best as you seek justice

@chepngetichdiana4708, sometimes you go to a nice private hospital,afer some hour they give you a referral to those bad hospital, make matters worse you find can't change your health insurance nhif. And that's you have or can afford itso challenging when it's come to that. I wish we had free hospitals we couldn't have to loose anyone who needs attention
Its not passion to treat anymore, it's salary for them. They bribe to get hired and leave the qualified ones trek looking for opportunities. We've lost mostly well trained passionate medical personel to other countries because they can't be hired. Sad situation in a struggling and poor country with poor administration.
This is so emotional, has reminded me of 2020at machakos i was admitted on Friday only to give birth wed next week. All throughi was in pain. I thank God am alive and my boy is alive. May God help pregnant mothers and protect them and their babies

Went through the same at kiambu, it's almost 3 years na sipati ujauzito am scared and very worried
Having worked as a nurse for 35yrs av not come across maternal death while on duty.
Thanks to go av retired without mental stress of loosing a mother while on line of duty.

I gave birth on my own in that hospital. I called on the nurses but they couldn't come. I went straight to the labour ward nikapanda kitanda and pushed my baby out. Later they came running asking me why I have laboured for a very short time. Hapo ni Mungu tu.
Out of all the hospitals in Nrb, Where do u find the strength to go & give birth there?? That's like getting into a lion's den & hoping for the best!

I beg to disagree this strongly. It's not the doctors problem, but a government problem. Public Hospitals are underequipped, understaffed and the few workers are overworked. It's the government's role to provide conducive environment for patients and health workers. Doctors too are human like you. They have emotions and empathy. There's no way they'll wake up in the morning to go to kill people in the hospital. And ask yourself why this is not happening in private hospitals??why is it a public Hospitals problem??
They say they are poorly paid....get on planes and go to UK,.US, etc and get paid dollars

Such a heartbreaking story 😢. Going to the hospital to have a baby shouldn't be a life or death situation. The total disregard shown by the nursing staff after she went into labor is deplorable. I've lost family members due to negligence and this is the one thing that gives me pause when I think of coming back home. I know that I would probably be dead by now if I was receiving medical care in Kenya. We deserve better, let's shame these hospitals until they start doing what they're supposed to be doing.
That's the reason she should have accepted you to be near her in the ward or its visinity. It was complete negligence and those nurses who were on duty should be dismissed and taken to court.

The same thing I passed through in mama Lucy I was almost to loose my life but God helped me ,,for real those doctor treats pple like they are not humans,,I remember that day there was a woman whom fall down on the floor while calling the doctor for help and that time the baby was out and the doctor didn't help her,,ooh lord have mercy upon us

I almost died in 2015 Nazareth hospital due to excessive bleeding but thanks to Nazareth hospital they called an aga khan doctor and i was saved i was to be taken back to theatre watoe uterus woii God thanks haikutolewa but i cant have another baby they warned me.
Just recently a lady by Vanessa ogema was causing chaos at the hospital and people were busy critsizing her !

I met this guy at the hospital's morgue,he had many questions with no answers, all I could pray for is for God to grant him peace of mind.
😢😢😢all government hospitals ni za ufala,I underwent alot with my kids ju nlivutwa kilazima when they had already declined my plea for elective Cs,as for now I nurse a permanent injury on my pelvic 8yrs on painkillers,I can't do any hard jobs,except cooking,bathing and eating mungu awaone😢

I went to this hospital to my tooth.i stayed 4 hours no help.i took an uber to st.Marys hospital in Langata.i was given help in 20 minutes. Mama Lucy hospital ,harrasment starts from the gate by guard.so traumatizing. I can never go there or advice one to go there.

I went through alot breeding none stop but God sent un angel who was a doctor....that is 2014🙏gorvment hospital is a no to me...thou God is the life giver.
