This has been so helpful. It is getting hard and this is what I needed to be reminded of. I do like that you chose “Someone Gets Me” because it really is a need that is rarely met and desired. Thank you for your work.

It is fascinating to hear you say that the gifted simply aim to have things correct. I have been accused of being a perfectionist at times and my response has always been that there is no perfect, but there is a state of being correct. I had to adopt an internal dialog of "good enough" and weather a sense of disgust in order to stay in sync with others.

I am so glad you said this. I have the same experiences and at this point I am tired of being told I am a perfectionist and tired of having to explain how that is untrue and do not care about perfection but love growth, change and the choice of choosing to do things that are correct. It is a lonely thing to be misunderstood even after taking the time to explain. Thank you!

As a side thought, the disgust is very real and does not leave because it’s a violation of values and like a self sacrifice to not be a target and reduce problems from not matching others. It is why I enjoy time alone.
