El origen de su nombre no es del todo preciso.
Una versión afirma que se le nombró así por la similitud del platillo con la comida de los gallos, otra más se lo atribuye a su apariencia al pico del animal y una última se refiere a su sabor, al decir que “pica como gallo

One version states that it was named this way because of the similarity of the dish to rooster food, another attributes it to its appearance to the animal's beak, and a final one refers to its flavor, saying that “it stings like a rooster.”
