stopwatching is actually easy, but only if you have a stopwatch. i stopped watching stopwatching for non-stopwatchers videos after some stopwatchers' stopwatches stopped, stopping stopwatching and, unusually, stopping stopwatchers (or just watchers) from watching stopwatchers stopwatch.
Our school is around the corner from the convention center, and in the flight path. When we hear the choppers, it's usually the PD and a chance for a lockdown, so some people get worried. I had to explain why we had so many low flyovers last week! I love it!
My Dad was a B-17 bombardier with the 301st heavy bomber group out of Foggia, Italy. Salute and gratitude for all the heroes of the 15th AAF. Thank you so much for doing these episodes about "The Forgotten 15th". GOD BLESS 'EM ALL.
Oh my god, this was pure crack for me! I LOVE helicopters! I wish I had known this was happening! I'm pleasantly surprised to see so many Jet Rangers and Jet Ranger-adjacent choppers showing up. That is one of the coolest designs ever. Also, loved to see the Gazelle! My favorite sound!
@1:25 sorry, but the Blue Thunder chase music started automatically in my head when I heard the sound this helicopter makes, "There he is! He's all yours cookie"!!! So many of the the sound signatures immediately made my brain jump to the different movies they've been featured in while watching the various helicopters land.
I worked in telecommunications as a tech in Alaska and have been transported all over in helicopters to places like drill platforms, drill ships, mountain top communications sites and remote oil exploration sites. It’s fun until you have to wade through the snow on a mountain in the Arctic with test equipment. Some sites were just flattened ridge tops where you didn’t know where terra firmer ended and there was just snow holding you from sliding off the mountain. One pilot I flew a lot with was a Vietnam Vet. When the company that he flew for upgraded from a 206 to a 407 he called the new one the Porsche of helicopters. He took me for some great rides through the mountains. I remember one day we put five hours on it going to different sites. 5 hours in any helicopter is a long time.
My dad worked on them back in the 90s at RAF Shawbury. They used them as trainers. Your 'screaming chicken leg' looks fantastic, that's the sound of my childhood!
It is something amazing to see back to back helicopters come in and land but it is something else to see MD helictopers arrive, they are a masterpiece for sure.
Tampa Florida has a huge state fair grounds that can hold a lot of helicopters for an expo over there too if your interested or at SUN&FUN AIRSHOW ON 4/13/2024.
Thanks for this video. Personal takes: A. No Imperial Ornithopter, boo! B. Turbines of all stripes, top style, top performance. Military or civil, euro or USA, love 'em. (Recognisable sounds straight out of the movies, BHD Little Bird etc etc) C. Pistons, typically lightweight personal & generally pitiful and/or terrifying...
At 2:34 the orange Bell landed and the skids touch uneven but I noticed that the main rotor shaft or the whole assembly seamed to shake or move like it's loose. I'm not a pilot or a mechanic. This is just the observation of a curious guy who loves helicopters so much. Can someone please explain what I saw in that video portion please. Maybe it was just an illusion or camera angle but it looked loose. Thanks, Jeff
Amazing video. Thanks. Something about the Hughes/MD 500/530 that does it for me. Also nice of all the real helicopters to let the Robbies join their party - me ducks for cover lol.
A high fidelity H160 is available in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Currently we have released the 10 Seat Civilian and a 4 seat Luxury edition. There are a few more specialized variants are in development.
Still have my 2014 Helicopter Expo bag... With the Logo on it " Land and Live. " and is the most excellent mantra of when flying in 0/0 condition, to land and live to fly another day... Seems so many of the helicopter crashes, that this simple motto would and should be the idea of instead of flying it to its Crash site...
Great footage, wish i could have been there with you.
Private Chinook blew mind! 😊
It's cool right!
OUTSTANDING!
Super Helo!

Incredible machines! When 'HELI-EXPO' (Verticon) gets near me, I'll be there.
great video! Feliz em ver um Robinson R66 representando o Brasil!!!
The most dangerous chopper in the world nothing to be proud of

Out here in Australia we only two kinds of Helo's.
The ones you can see, and the ones you can't.
I painted N338JD back in June of 22, cool surprise to see it here.

Awesome Video! First time I've seen the bottom of my Gazelle :)
it's awesome! Best looking helicopter model of all times IMHO. MDs rock it, too
Great looking helicopter!
Such a beautiful Gazelle. #LoveThatSound Reminds me of the movie ‘Blue Thunder’ which I plan to watch this week, in honor of HAI’s 75th Anniversary.
But have you seen the top? Just messing with you, I love your Gazelle, I filmed it at Whiteman airport back on 11-17-23

I hope I get to make it to the HAI Heli Expo someday. Thanks for giving us great footage!
Thank you!

Ours too!
1:14 Ah the old 'screaming chicken leg'. My dad worked on Gazelles in the 90s at RAF Shawbury. Unmistakable sound.
The Hughes and MD’s are SWEET 😊
Great footage! Thanks for that video!
Great to see the "Whistling Chicken Leg" (Gazelle) - nice video.
I haven't seen so many choppers since the 97' Catalina Wine Mixer...
