Nice video thanks for sharing. I like the fly and I have all the materials to tie this cool fly. There is only 1 rainbow trout stream where I live it is a put and take fishery below a dam. Water is always crystal clear, 51 to 53 degrees year round. These fish are tough to catch. I like this fly. I catch fish all day on a dead drifted hare's ear nymph 18 or flashback hare's ear nymph. I use bright hair float on my leader to keep the drift at the right depth. I have used a Brassie in a size 12. Topwater action is still very difficult for there is not really a hatch. We have mostly terrestrials that fall into the mid-stream current like ants etc. Red ants work sometimes.
Enjoyed this lesson thank you sir

What kind of dubbing did you use?
Any light olive dubbing should work fine
Charlie uses Beaver Dubbing because it absorbs water and sinks the back of the fly
