You aren't alone in feeling like this, I often (mostly when I have artblock or I'm in an art drought) think whenever I'm not drawing, that I'm wasting my talent and I should pick a better career, I like singing but I have horrid stage fright, art is the only thing that brings me joy and that I can do successfully, but it aches to hear someone say "art isn't a job your wasting your potential" or "art is a worthless talent quit wasting your time and do something better" cause art is a job, and it's fun to do. Don't listen to people who want to hurt you and try to convince you to do anything else otger than what makes you happy, you do you and don't let anyone tell you different, cause you have all of us right here to make sure you feel happy and talented cause that what you are! Art is a talent, and you shouldn't be afraid to show it off
I COMPLETELY understand how you feel as I inspire to be an artist/animator. Listen, being an artist is just as good as any other job! Also being a content creator (animator/artist) you provide entertainment! (Which we all need once in a while. Also the lockdown still kinda exists so y’know!) Reminder: Doctors and scientists still work hard. They have to go through many years of school and training. They probably had a hard time throughout. In my opinion, being a doctor, lawyer or scientist is harder than being an artist, but it depends on the person. It doesn't mean that they get all praise, they have to get yelled at when a surgery fails, or if a scientist messes up. Even lawyers and sent to wrong person for punishment. Although, I understand being an artist is hard, i just wanna clear up they still work hard

In reality, doctors deserve more credit than artists because they spend so much time saving lives, and scientists can work on many thing from creating cures to diseases, etc. Artists deserve credit for their work, certainly, and I create art myself, but it doesn’t put us above other jobs.
