To kind of add on to the two minute rule. At the end of the day, often as part of my night time routine, I'll go through the house and put everything back in its place, like the TV remote, books, loose papers. This usually only takes a few minutes but it really helps clear my head to know that everything is where it should be. And it helps when I wake up in the morning and my house is not a complete mess.
I find the fly lady system works well when you customize it to your schedule…errand day…home blessing day etc. My house blessing day is Sunday. My meal planning shopping is Monday because I volunteer in town on Monday …etc 2 min and 5 min tasks work really well. Make sure you start with the baby steps she recommends.
I'm definitely going to try out the transition bin. I'm also someone who repeats wearing multiple items within the same week. Hold the cart is also another one I want to try. I've been very impulsive with my purchases as of late and I need to calm down! Lol
🌺I’ve always ended my day walking through the house, turning off lights, putting items back in place, making sure doors are locked…so that I can sleep soundly and wake up to a calm house. I thought everyone did this too!🥰 I also do this in my home office at the end of my workday, in the kitchen after dinner cleanup….it’s just so satisfying and makes the next day so much easier 🌺✨LOVE the term Life Admin Day…using that tid-bit‼️✅ 12+ years ago I discovered what I call “virtual shopping” which is putting things in the cart, and walking away. 1 of 3 things will happen: 1. I’ll forget about it, so money saved✅ 2. Site will send you reminders and additional discounts, money saved ✅…3. If I really really want it, remembered it and will love it=good for me‼️✨
I also have the habits to meditate at least 3 minutes before starting my day with the app Serenity (it is useful to start meditating and also to keep the habits with some daily meditations). I think that it's important to me to juest relax a bit before doing all the things that I've scheduled for the day!
Please do another one of these post baby! I have a toddler and I’m still struggling with routine (and I’m a workaholic routine fanatic with a strict schedule and that went out the window and all of these productivity videos are made by childless folks lol)
I'm excited for a different perspective when I become a mom! Personally, I don't enjoy strict routines, so I have lots of tools in my toolbox that are flexible -- it doesn't have to be all or nothing! :)
Loved this video! All such great habits to implement. Can I ask, what hair care products you use and love? Your hair always looks so shiny and healthy! Thank you xx
Love the transition bin idea! I also work from home so I’m often re-wearing certain clothes and they just kinda end up in a pile on the floor to wear again. Seems like thinking of getting a bin would be common sense haha but it seemed genius when you said it!
Maybe I missed an update somewhere, but are you still recording episodes for your podcast?! I recently discovered it and am hoping you'll keep putting out more content there too :)
At 1:42 it looks like you're using google calendar in an app format? Are you still using apple products? I can't seem to use google calendar in anything but a webpage on my Mac and it's so disappointing because I love (and miss) google calendar & tasks. If you use an app to get the desktop look, can you please share? 🤗 T.I.A!
oh i use it on my browser! I just prefer it that way because I use ARC as my browser so it keeps it all in one screen. I still use apple products though!
@@julesacree AH! That's why it looks so clean and pretty on your Mac! Thanks so much 😊definitely going to try ARC out. I've heard great things. Cheers!

3rd task hit me hard!! I have so much stuff in my cart and delay checkout at the last minute! Thanks for the tip Jules!
Sure thing gal!!
Great ideas. I believe Gretchen Rubin originated the 2 minute rule. I agree, it is one of the best ideas I have ever implemented.

ooh I change it up all the time -- sometimes 100% pure shampoo or pacifica... but I'm not really to loyal to one particular brand!
