- Ford automatic climate control - Perform self-test, read error codes and software version for many Ford models! In this video I will show you how to read out the fault memory and the software version / firmware without a test device and how to carry out a self-test of the air conditioning system on your Ford.
Hints: Each key press shown here should be performed within 2 seconds, the diagnosis or self-diagnosis of the A/C can take up to 30 seconds. The Climatronic must be switched on before the first key combination starts.
Functionality may vary depending on year of manufacture and equipment. Different designs of the climate control units do not necessarily affect the procedure.

I just fixed some serious typos.
My focus 2009, mk2,5 has the following function. When it's freezing outside it turns on automatically the windscreen heating, front and rear.
Since my car is parked in a garage, there's no need to do that. How can I change this setting?
Hello! this feature is available on most newer Ford Focus models. this is not only to defrost the windows automatically but also to get the engine up to operating temperature faster, which is a good thing. you can't deactivate it via the on-board computer, you would have to drive to the Ford dealer.
Die Klimaanlage von meinem Ford Kuga 1 kühlt von 30x nur 1x. Bei dem Selbsttest wurden keine Fehler erkannt 88. Alle Kältemittel sind aufgefüllt. Was könnte es sein?
Thanks for your video. I have an smax MY 2009 with an climate via touchscreen. Do you might have the combination for selftest for that specified model of ecc? In combination with valves calibration it would be great!

after a short research, the S-MAX self-test is started in the same way as with the Ford Focus 2/3. i.e.: on/off button + footwell ventilation -> auto button. If there are no physical buttons for the climate control, it becomes complicated. I have not found a way to start this climate self-test via the display. in the Sync 3, for example, there is a hidden menu with various test options, maybe it can be found there.

na een kort onderzoek wordt de zelftest van de S-MAX op dezelfde manier gestart als bij de Ford Focus 2/3. dus: aan/uit knop + voetenruimte ventilatie -> auto knop. Als er geen fysieke knoppen voor de klimaatregeling zijn, wordt het ingewikkeld. Ik heb geen manier gevonden om deze klimaat zelftest via het display te starten. in de Sync 3 is er bijvoorbeeld een verborgen menu met diverse testopties, misschien is het daar te vinden.

hi! normally the logic of the key combination is always the same. unfortunately, i can't say whether this also applies to the air conditioning system controlled via the screen. you'd have to try that if you haven't already done it.
otherwise i will soon use a focus mk3 facelift as a test object. it should be the same procedure there.

Ciao, sui forum su internet ho letto che gli specchietti retrovisori esterni non funzionano più se si rimuove la funzione con ELMConfig. Attualmente sto lavorando solo con forscan, ma lavorerò con elmconfig all'inizio del prossimo anno.

Peut-être que la formulation est un peu mauvaise, je classerais simplement cela comme une erreur de signal et donc défectueux.
@@htbo Juste pour te dire que j'ai emmené la voiture chez un mecano , il m'a vider le gaz de la clim, puis a réinjecter du gaz et ca a déboucher le cote droit, du coup la clim marche a fond des deux cotes.

Hallo. Beim Selbststest gab es einen Fehlercode: 9342 Cmax, 2.0 tdci, EZ 02/2007. Ich finde über diesen Code so nichts. Weiß jemand was?
Hallo und gesundes neues! Der Code beschreibt einen internen Fehler am Steuergerät. Macht die Klimaanlage denn irgendwelche Probleme?

Ja, die Klimaautomatik macht in der Form Probleme, dass sie Aussetzer hat. Wartung der gesamten Anlage und Tausch des Innenraumsensors brachten keinen Erfolg.
Ich bin da ziemlich ratlos und kann mir auch keine Werkstatt leisten, die auf Verdacht erst mal alles austauscht ohne zu wissen, was das Grundproblem ist.

The error only says that the fan central position had caused an error. If the automatic climate control otherwise works normally, you can safely ignore it. :-)

@@htbo aktualnie jest u mechanika, przy zimnym silniku gdy go odpalam słyszę stukniecie tak jak by łańcuch był za luźny i on stukał? Sam nie wiem. Jest jedna rzecz która mnie nie pokoi mianowicie świeci mi się lampka pomarańczowa na zegarze w lewym dolnym rogu, jest to (kuhlflussigkeitsstand) wiatrak w silniku więc kontrolka od chłodzenia cały czas się pali i nie chce zgasnąć. Co to oznacza? Co jest problemem, również mam problem z obrotami gdy silnik się nagrzeje słychać wycie silnika (nie są to wentylatory) i sam silnik przyspiesza a gdy mu dam sprzęgło obrotomierz sam rośnie na około 3000 obrotów, dopiero gdy go zdusze lub dodam mocno gazu silnik się uspokaja i normalnie pracuje. Co może być przyczyną tych problemów?

Hello! Thanks for this wonderful video! I have a Focus 2014 MK3, which Climatronic looks very different (see this image: web.denverauto.com.ar/asset/img/uploads/1533584623712_1470387684584.jpg). If I switch the key to CONTACT, click the Power Button and the Foot button together and inmediately tap on AUTO, it doesn't to anything. Any suggestion?
My Climatronic is working really mad. When selection COLD (both sides to LO), Pilot deliver a very light cold air and the CoPilot, just external air.
If I switch CoPilot to 28C, it starts deliverying HOT AIR (as it should), but PILOT continues to deliver COLD AIR even when it automatically changed to 25c!!! VERY MAD!!
Hello, unfortunately RUclips has withheld your comment for review. i didn't find anything about an A/C self-test for the sync systems right away. so it's possible that you can only get the error codes with an obd tester. but i'll read up on it.

Hello Fabio and sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, this is one of those cases where I would recommend going to the Ford workshop. It is always very difficult to make an exact analysis by remote diagnosis. In this case, it could even be that the dealer has to activate something on the software side.
