Finally completed woo-hoo!! I suggest watching this in a dark lit room with sound :D
The first slate translates to: Friendship is magic, Chapter 25, Party of One. :troll: Interesting thing to note is that the word Magic in Kanji can be directly translated as demonic arts(魔法). So....Friendship is demonic? :D
The pink haired white pony near the end is young Celestia, I set it as though she sacrificed her immortality to "help" Twilight as does the anime with Hanyu. I decided to do this crossover after seeing Cupcakes as both deal with torture and death. There are also a couple more similarities I found between Higurashi no naku koro ni and MLP which also made me do this crossover are:
1. both having seemingly cute and adorable style at first glance, but something awesome and mind-blowing that doesn't conform to the initial style lies underneath.
2. the duo personalities some of the characters displays.
3. Twilight and Rika both have purple hued hair and possess some sort of time/ dimension traveling magic and a long-time friend to a Goddess.
4. Pinkie and Rena have extremely excitable personality but snaps at a moment's notice if pushed to the edge.
5. Fluttershy and Shion are quiet and meek normally but turns into a yandere in situations.
6. AppleJack and Mion are tomboyish in nature but still has a feminine side. Tsundere~
7. Rainbow Dash and Keiichi, well, they are the victim in the anime and Cupcakes :D
8. Rarity and Satoko due to their ever so slightly haughty personality. (I think their laughter match each other.)

Edit So...the Japanese website for MLP:FiM is up. mylittleponyjapan.com/ They call it マイリトルポニー ～トモダチは魔法～ Which literally translates to My Little Pony: Friends are magic. It will be broadcasted in Tokyo on April the 4th 7:30am JST, with its own opening. It begins.

Id completely forgotten seeing this vid when I was a kid, I watched Higurashi for the first time earlier this year and thought I recognized the second op from something Id seen before lol now I remember what it was

I am so glad this was created because I had no idea what anime was and then I was just randomly watching pony stuff on RUclips, then THIS beauty comes along and I was so captivated by the song that I searched for it and discovered this 'anime' stuff, which was the most interesting thing I'd ever seen and even though I was like 13 when watching this anime for the first time it was the best thing I'd ever seen. ten I discovered anime was a genere, pretty much, and I have since basicly abandoned my little pony to discover more anime.
I sincerely thank the creates of his animation for introducing me to the world of anime.

Excuse me, but another had a very well defined and intricate storyline and if you look at it beyond the face value, a very detailed subplot centered around the creation myth of izanagi and izanami the two progenitive deities of japanese folklore. There's a curse in Another too and its pretty much straight out of the Japanese mythos. Everyone is dying because izanami and izanagi are fighting against each other for human souls. You're not hit over the head with this , as you are in higurashi, but the character's names (which in some cases are malapropisms for proper names of deities in the mythos) should give you a clue as to what is going on.

It's a theory I have: If the actual show weren't made mainly for little girls, Fluttershy would be a full fledged Yandere. Yanderes are shy outside, but strong inside, the total opposite of a Tsundere. The only thing is, anime shows Yanderes being very violent, but in PG form, a Yandere would be pretty much like Fluttershy: Shy on the crust, but ready to punch back in the inside. A proof of her being a Yandere: You... are going to LOVE ME!!!!

And that's why Fluttershy is my fav. I really like Yanderes for some reason.......

Twilight Sparkle would be the Meganekko, Rainbow Dash would be the Tsundere, Fluttershy would be the Yandere, Pinkie Pie would be the Genki Girl with Cloudcuckoolander mixed in, Rarity would be the Ojou. and Applejack... surprisingly enough I think she would likely be the Yamato Nadeshiko though having more tomboy traits mixed in as well as considering the fact she is a farmer/working class citizen. - shrugs -

Though looking it up I will say I find that Raven, the example used for a Kuudere on TV Tropes. is quite different from Applejack... so I am not certain whether I can agree with the suggestion that Applejack is a Kuudere.

I watched higurashi a month ago and i gotta say,it's the best anime ever and i love the anime and this video.
I mean, I only have one question: How would someone come up with this idea, and why spare the time to ACTUALLY do it?

It's called fan content. Creating works of music, animation, art, and parodies to show appreciation for something you like. It isn't a new concept. They probably happened to like both MLP and Higurashi. With a rising creepypasta community within the fandom at the time, he probably fit two and two together.

This Anime is seriously the best Horror Anime ever, I've been knowing Higurashi for like 3 years now, still unbeatable.
