It's effective on certain fighters like Costa and potentially Du Plessis, but when you're against fighters that are defensively sound and march forward, it doesn't make sense to take the countering approach in my opinion.

Izzy needs to get back in training mode it won't be good if he has to play catch up with the division. Every time I view his Instagram stories he's either drinking or on vacation for like the longest time now.

I have been rather critical to people like Dana saying they dont mind giving Adesanya multiple title opportunities despite his recent outings. However! I do believe Du Plessis Vs Adesanya is the fight to make now. Strike when the iron is hot! It was suppose to be these two back in September even though it was a super quick turnaround for Du Plessis.
What about Khamzat Chimaev?
I say he should fight the winner of Whittaker/Costa. And I am a big Whittaker fan so I dont love the idea of him fighting Chimaev before fighting for title. But if Whittaker does defeat both Costa and Chimaev, people will/should still look at Rob as that guy!
