This is two years old, almost exactly, but it is still relevant to me. Thank you very much for your patient and detailed instruction. Truly appreciated.
Hey guys, great upload. But I just have one question with the soldering. How does melting those plastic things on the side of the face plate actually attach the trim piece? I've played and replayed the video, but don't get how melting the plastic bits 'welds' the trim to the face plate?
I have an sr5 with the stock reverse camera and all that so you say cut that purple wire off. But I would like a switch in my dash so I can turn the camera on whenever without needing to go into reverse. How will I use that wire to do so
I’m going to fix a pioneer avh5050bt on my 2013 Toyota fortuner.. do I need a special module or adapter to use steering wheel controls properly??? Please help.
Great video. Lots of detail... thanks. Can you help. I have a DDX917WS in a 2014 Hilux SR5. I have resorted to a dedicated bullbar mounted AM/FM GME fibreglass antenna becuase I couldn't get any reception whatsoever with the connections as shown in your previous videos for that model head unit. This is how I bought the vehicle back in Dec 2019.Wondering whether you know where the Toyota factory antenna booster is located so I can inspect and determin whether that is the problem. The blue power wire is connected to a 12v source. Cheers.
Check the antenna plug behind stereo often the aftermarket adapters the pin can fall out on the antenna its the blue wire in the antenna plug see the video above and look at the one I advise is the am/fm antenna.
Hi thanks for the video. Do you know when in April the new wide screen models without the cd/DVD player will be in stock? Also I own a 2wd 2014 hilux that doesnt have a stock reversing camera so i was wondering where do I wire the trigger wire too? Cheers
In our harness we wire the reverse trigger into it, but if you use someone else's kit you will have to do it manually its pin 2 in the 28 pin harness behind stereo or in the reverse lights at rear. Stereos mid to late April.
