When I was a young girl, my dad would turn the radio off when this song came on so I wouldn’t hear the words. My parents were very protective as to what I was exposed to before I was mature enough to make sense of it all. I remember well the controversy about this song. Love Conway though!
One of his best! I love that the song has rising tension as it progresses just as if he’s doing what the song says, and then back to a slow down. That was some production brilliance!
I love Conway. He is #1 in my book. Anything by Conway is a banger!
Actually it’s not her first it’s her first affair. He said I don’t know and I don’t care what made you tell him you don’t love him anymore, but as I taste your tender kisses I can tell you’ve never been this far before.
I love this song.
Her x boyfriend not cheating
Come on man it's her ex boyfriend.
Doesn't mean she had been with him sexualy. I personally think the lin e your referencing is to show she is old enough and he isn't taking advantage of a young girl.
IT IS 100 PERCENT ABOUT HER 1ST TIME HAVING SEX
Yep If she told him she didn't love him, that is considered to be single lol Like@@JL-is9rg said , come on the tender kisses is when he realised she was still a virgin. He im sure thought she had with her X. Stop trying to make it seem like a bad thing.
She left a boy , found a man and gave him some tail, simple story of the birds and bees. Country DIED WITH THE OUTLAWS, at least they had the balls to sing about life and not fairy tales
I know it's hard for you youngsters to believe, but your grandparents and their parents were usually both virgins when they married. They courted and sometimes it didn't work out. But they didn't sleep together because there were serious consequences back in those days. You were treading on thin ice and literally taking your own life in your hands if you took advantage of a girl or hurt her and her dad found out about it. And a jury wouldn't blame him a bit if it went that far.
I don't think Conway Twitty ever hit a sour note in his life. His voice is like velvet. It's the only word I can come up with to describe it. I have a favorite that I'd love to see you check out. It's called "Goodbye Time" and I know you'd like it 👍 In my opinion, the live performance he did on an awards show is the best version if possible. Thank you for this reaction 😃 I love 💕 this song so much 😃😃
Funny because I grew up with Conway playing in the car on 8-track and singing every word. My mom's favorite!
Shortly before he passed away, we took my mom to see him live in concert. It was the end of May, and freezing cold out. We were sitting huddled on a blanket, with a second blanket wrapped around us. Lorrie Morgan came out dressed in a skimpy red dress, and you could see her shivering the whole time. Conway came out and put on one heck of a good show. After hearing that he had passed, I was so glad we had sat there in the cold so my mom could see one of her idols.
Conway is just sooooo smooth 😉
My dad is 82 Conway is his favorite. Thank God. I wouldn't be here im 47. Lol🤣🤣😳😳😁
"It's only make believe" is another great Conway song.
Love Conway Twitty. He sang to the Ladies. This is my favorite Conway song.
Give "i May Never Get To Heaven". Another great song by Conway
Conway Twitty started out in rockabilly in the 50's the same way Elvis did and had just as many girls going crazy over him. My mum was a huge fan. He switched over to country in the 60's. I grew up listening to all his music. No music was ever censored in my house. Some of his songs are sensual but not crude like the crap they do today. His son sounds just like him on some newer songs.
My mom was Conway Twitty crazy. She had great taste in music. She hard crushed on him. My dad took her to Lakeside to see him live. Thats love. Still makes me smile.
The group I was with back then did his '81 Spring Tour with him and T. G. Sheppard. He never spoke a word while on stage... just one song after another for 37 minutes... til the final show of the tour and he thanked the fans and talked just a bit. and he always signed autographs til the last person in line was gone. Was a great guy to talk to. Such a needless loss. If he would have just gone to the dr. when he started noticing a problem.
This came out when I was about 6 or 7 years old. My dad, and my mom, loved him. They would sing his songs to each other. I remember being kinda grossed out. But, also like I want that love when I'm older. My parents were married 2 weeks shy of 57 years when my mom passed. Now I hear these songs and want to cry and laugh. They didn't have the best marriage but held true to their love
During that era their were several songs banned from country radio stations Loretta Lynn “the pill”, or Charlie Rich “behind closed doors”, several that Conway and Loretta did together is a deep well to.
My momma and her sisters used to swoon over Conway Twittu when I was a kid. 😁
Conway's voice in the lyrics of his songs were very seductive.
From a 57 year old male I really love your reaction. I have been married to my wife for 29 years. She is my life. And yes I took her from the other guy. Like in the song. We have 4 wonderful children, 2 boys and 2 girls. She will always be the center of my life and i do not know what I would do without her. Love the reaction.
You need to hear Hello Darling by Conway.
Dad’s favorite. Mom was all about Elvis. Must hear his duets with Loretta Lynn
Hello Darling
I’m in my 70s , I had a picture of him on my wall ,loved his music then and now.
Harold Lloyd Jenkins, also Known as Conway Twitty was September 1, 1933, Friars Point, MS, Passed away June 5, 1993, Springfield, MO.His stage name is derived from Conway, Arkansas, and Twitty, Texas.
I’ve loved Conway since forever! I’m glad you’re liking him! 🤗
I was conceived to Conway at Disneyland in California
We had romance in our music back in the day. The songs were suggestive but not crude and I am loving watching so many generations get acquainted with it❤
Conway will forever be my favorite country singer of all time!!
Thanks for bringing this one on board.
My niece was about 2 when this was being played on the radio... she knew every. single. word.! 😅😅 2:26
Love your videos Dude. Country On! You want a little upbeat Conway listen to " Boogie Grass Band" You may kick your heels up.
Conway Twitty - Tight Fittin Jeans. Best song hands down. Also Johnny Cash - boy named Sue.
Great singer left us way to soon.♥️♥️♥️
Check out his "I See the Want To In Your Eyes"... The title says it all...
My 2nd favorite conway aong
My uncle used to play with his band in the 70s and 80s. We got to go to the concerts whenever they were in Atlanta. The first time I heard this, I was like 7 or 8. I had no idea what the song was about. Then, when I was like 13 or so, I heard it, and my face turned so red.
One of my Favorite country singers❤❤
He was epic!
My favorite country dude! 🙏🏻💜 Thank you for covering him! 😎😎
The Greatest friend a song ever had!
From an old Utah man,Diamond Rio playing Meet Jn The Middle. Both you and your wife will like the message
My grandmother has to change her undergarments after listening to Conway!
😂😂😂😂
I’d like to have said Hello Darlin to him! Rest In Paradise Conway!
I love your channel
There was a Broadway musical called “Bye Bye Birdie”. Big Big Thing.
I think it was based upon the career of Conway Twitty.
That’s your assignment.
Conway did the best belly rubbing music 🥰 he is and will always be my favorite he voice will never be replicated
Agreed
Love song! Not sex song IMO! Beautiful!
We called Conway's songs "panty dropping" music.
Lol...yes it was..
Known as the panty dropper for songs like this.
Check out older women by my great friend Tyler Dean McDowell the song was originally done by his dad Ronnie McDowell who is also a great friend of mine
Proof that good lyrics are a surer way to get in a woman's pants than good looks. Conway Twitter had game before game was even a thing.
LOL, let's not compare CT to WAP 😂😂😂
Goodbye time you need to hear
I'd love one of you reactors to cover I've Been Everywhere by Hank Snow.
❤
Well if you want to listen to a Conway song that eliminates all doubt there's "I Was The First." Great Conway signature growl in this little gem as well. It doesn't get as much mention as some of his other hits but it's a good one with a different perspective.
Great song! If you want to react to another very sexual, yet very romantic country song, try “Feels So Right” by Alabama. A great one to play for your wife. I’ve always told people, if I found a man who appreciates that song for the sentiments expressed in it, I would want to marry him, among other things 😉 😂.
Did anyone ever tell you Conway started out in rock and roll?
I love Mr twitty.
How about some Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The ballad of Curtis Lowe. Thank you.
during a tribute for Conway after his death, his wife talked about this song, she said it wasnt meant to be sexual at all, it was a cheating song, that Conway had said 'touching forbidden places' meant even touching her hand was forbidden because she was married, youve never been this far before meant this is the first time shes ever cheated in any way
Listen to Conway Twitty's I want to lay you down
I would LOVE for you to play LAUREN DAGIEL, NEW and I believe fast moving
I love yerba maté.
I wonder what stores have it.
This song was banned on a lot of country radio stations for being too suggestive. However, Conway was slick, he called the DJs personally and explained that they misunderstood the lyrics. Supposedly Conway told them that the woman was with another man so any part of her body was forbidden to b touched by another.
Unfortunately, this sounds like a re-recording to me and not the original. Oh, they're very close, but the production on the original is a bit more lush and not as bright and crisp. On this one, Conway's voice sounds a bit more weathered than on the original. I'd definitely try to check out the original.
There was only one Conway. Have you listened to any of his duets with Loretta Lynn?
I never noticed this before,I always thought the girl was a virgin and it was her first time But no,it mentions a previous guy.
If you want to hear the PERFECT country song, listen to "You Don't Even Call Me By My Name " by David Allen Coe.
Classic baby making music 😂 Conway is a legend
Sebs as I watch you in your journey you were born in the wrong time period.
I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY...THE TEDDY BEAR SONG 🎵 BY RED SILVINE AND PHANTOM 309 😢❤😢❤
He was saving her from an abusive man who only wanted to use her.
That song was almost banned. Thankfully it wasn't. Thanks.
I believe she is married
Only The Chicken 💩 💩 Country Producers would do that. This song is so innocent smh. It's simply about losing your Virginity. To say this song offends anyone makes me wanna puke on the stage of the grand ole opry. Comercials are dirty and demeaning. Conway was singing a love song point blank.
PLEASE DO THE CONVERSATION
Conway's songs were definitely sexual. lol. But the ladies loved it back in the day! I still sing I'd love to lay you down to my wife, lol.
What was more sexual, the song or the boycotters thoughts?
Conway sang about sexual things, but it wasn't dirty and nasty. He left enough for the listener to figure out what he meant.
Listen read the Song of Solomon in the Bible, Gods word, put that to music and see how ya feel, romantic love and sex were invented by God, take solice in that whenever you come across a song like this again 👊🏼
Country is sexy
Rap/Hip Hop is vulgar
That’s the difference.
Hook-up is OK with you? Have you ever heard of adultery?
I love me some Conway.. but have to say this isn't my fav... truly like other songs better.
Conway was the man, good music before the PC stuff killed it, this is clean and talks about real, natural things that happen in life
My Grandmother thought he was filthy dirty my mom thought he was her gift from God
