How important is Crystal Wing? It just seems like its not worth to lose S:P, bc going second will be a nightmare without it EDIT: I can't really see any combo line wanting to use crystal wing. I'm removing it for S:P to help going second
I see why it would feel weird, but imagine you had a trap card that said "skip your opponents turn, also skip your next battle phase." It would still be broken because you get 2 turns in a row. Summoning twice is a gigachad move lmao
@@earthteamjordan you're kinda right but you also have to remember that this package is crimson drag + calamity + crystal clear and maybe + crystal wing and all of those cards are only accessible through crimson and none of them do much at all to help you going second or to break an opponents board in a grindgame. but i could also be wrong given that i haven't gotten to test with these cards yet and maybe all of the going first power is enough. but an S:P, Ty-phon, scarlight, and slepnir would be nice.
😯 I never actually noticed that interaction! Actually this gives this deck a nice boost against snake eyes, since all your White Woods can send a Spell/Trap for their effect. Nice catch!
Man, testing with this list made me realise how unoptimised your combo guide was. I found way better lines (such as asteria + any non-runick spell ending on chengying+crystal clear wing+trap+draw 1)
Asteria + Any Runick can end on Calamity, or Double Clear Wing, or two level 10 Synchros, or Chenying + Crystal Clear Wing. Its full combo, the end board is gonna be different depending on your meta. Also ANY White Woods besides Rcia + Any Runick Spell gets you the same end boards. The combos Ive showed are not suboptimal just because you can end on different boards.
Always appreciate the time and effort you put into the combos you build. I do like it when you voice them out better, but this was still good to follow along with!

White forest is way more resiliant and calamity line is not the best endboard that this deck can make.Also book of eclipse on opponent's turn is broken.
I would often agree with you that turn skips are generally a bad pick, but in this case calamity lock is more of an endboard piece than the entire endboard. It's competing mainly with red supernova dragon and cosmic blazar dragon, and I think calamity is useful more often than the other 2
Herald of the arc light doesn't work, I tried. You can use frequency magician (a brick) to make it using asteria's effect, but it basically kills the rest of your turn. The deck already plays around nib somewhat thanks to the tuners coming back from grave

A good deck, but Runick is disgusting toxicity incarnate, so I can't really play this, I will probably go for a Witchcrafter version of White Woods instead. Honestly though, I wouldn't really say it plays through every handtrap, the right handtrap, if used at the right moment will definitely pretty much stop the deck, it is good though.
Because runick is somehow toxic now. I think you may be confusing it with runick stun, which is definitely very toxic, but there is no stun in this deck, its combo EDIT: this deck barely does any runick stuff lmao
@@nopeno-s5r Runick itself is almost stun, it is pure toxicity, even decks that use Runicks as bodies, still use the spells to fck with the opponent. Runick is entirely designed to be toxic.
